Jason watched as the seemingly slow Zeke stepped up to the mark, Seth close behind, trying to find loopholes in the deal. "No new deals, you release the two pokeballs in you hand and our deal is wavered meaning I shall snag them both. She had her chance to win her pokemon, she lost. That's the end of it."
He looked back to Zeke taking a pokeball out of his pouch. This boy seemed to be emotional and thick, there was a very easy way throw him of his game. He tossed the pokeball into the air, releasing a fire ghost type pokemon. Jason said nothing as the Chandelure hovered in front of him, ready to battle its old trainer.

Jason's response made Seth grow extra angry inside. It was already cruel to have taken any of their Pokemon for sport, but to have only one chance of getting them back against such a powerful enemy... no wonder there was still war in this stupid world.
Before Seth could say anything condemning, Zeke stepped up. Seth stepped back, wishing a silent "good luck" to Zeke.

((asdjakjh late reply is late heeeectic. <3))
Zeke froze. Oh, well that was... unexpected. New. Very new. Not really that new, I mean, Esme had been around for quite a while now but... that's still new, unexpected, a shock, oh.
He opened and closed his mouth, pausing. Did this... did he... were they going to fight? Because... that, what, how do you fight your own Pokemon. How do you go into battle with the intention of defeating your own Pokemon on the other side? Zeke took a careful step forward, half raising his arm as if to just... grab her and run. Now that that'd work, but still. If only. That's not even a real battle, that's just trying to... outlast the other without doing damage. How could he even. He couldn't battle properly, not now.
Zeke swallowed slowly, trying to hide his shock, even though it must've registered on his face before it even clicked in his mind. Okay, be a trainer, get your Pokemon back. Need a Pokemon that won't take Esme out, but will be enough. There's only one thing, really. Taking a moment to breath, just focus and sort his thoughts, Zeke pulled out a Pokeball, opening it to reveal Scott, his Empoleon. He couldn't risk anyone else.
"Okay." Wow, it was difficult to keep his voice steady. "Okay. I can still fight you."

Arthur scoffed at Seth's oh so chivalrous offer. Really, Jason would have to be an idiot to accept. So there was still the possibility of Jason accepting. Although when the poacher shot down that idea, Arthur thought maybe he wasn't too stupid after all.
Although, shit. That still meant that Zeke would have to battle. Fuck. Well, he knew that Zeke was a good trainer, so maybe things wouldn't go too badly. Arthur kept that thought until he saw Zeke's pokémon sent out against him. Well, this was just great.
Arthur gauged Zeke's reactions, the expresion on the mans face almost breaking his heart. Surely he couldn't fight in this condition?
"Okay. I can still fight you." Okaaaay, so maybe he can, but Jason was just being a prick and Arthur had to do something.
"Aaah, Jason- boss, er, Sir. Surely you're not gonna go through with this right? I mean, y'know, what is this actually going to accomplish?" There seemed to be no logic behind this man's actions. Why is he doing any of this? He walked over to Jason and put a hesitant hand on his shoulder. "So why don't you just not do this? Yeah?"

OOC: Laptop fixed ) BIC: Jason swung round to remove Arthur's hand from his shoulder, smacking him across the face as he did so. " Don't you ever touch me again..." He growled, that look of pure insanity dominating his features once more. He turned back to Zeke, Jason's eyes locking onto his opponents. " Could you really battle your own pokemon boy?..." He asked, running a hand through his slick black hair. " And with a super effective battle advantage as well..." With that he started to chuckled, folding his arms across his chest. Jason truly wanted to see if Zeke had the stones to even attack first.

Arthur recoils from the hit, his eyes wide and his mouth agape, completely stunned. He slowly brings a hand up to his cheek and scoffs disbelievingly. "Did you just fucking slap me?" He scoffed again, laughing slightly then turns to Jason. "What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Oh, he was pissed. "Seriously! I'm the closest thing to a fucking ally you have, and you think I'll stand for you slapping me like I'm your whore? This is not acceptable!" His face now red from the obvious anger reflected in his voice, he carried on shouting at Jason, flailing his arms to exaggerate his point. "I put up with you being a creepy shit, and even if I didn't want to be with you, I stayed because I wanted to keep my word. Well you have totally destroyed that now, so you know what Jason? I QUIT." And with that he stormed away from the poacher, and when he walked past Zeke he muttered, "Give him hell."((Feels good to be back ))

Zeke's eyes narrowed slowly, turning head as Jason shunned his only ally. This changes things. He motioned for Scott to step forward, confirming his place. "I can battle. You don't touch Arthur, and you don't get to touch our Pokemon, ever again." Zeke rolled his shoulders back and clenched his fist. All he needed to do was finish this quickly, shouldn't be too hard, a well placed hit and Scott would take her down, then... then I need to run. Get Esme healed quick. It'll be fine, it'll be fine, I just need to get her back.
Zeke tilted his head, assessing the battleground, and let a small smirk appear. "First move?"
