It was that whiplash crack of a body in water that caught his attention, "Woah!" He rushed to the side of the pool with Ignus and aided him in helping Soren out, there wasn't a chance that just one man alone could lift a man of Soren's height out by himself; unless you truly had abs and buns of steel. "Easy now, try not to drag him." He said as Soren was lifted out, taking it upon himself to lift Soren's legs to make sure that his back didn't trail along the rocks.
Once he was safely down, Terrance drew out a Pokeball and released Lisimba; the Luxray. "Something just attacked Soren, it might come back." He explained to the electric lion who mrowed in understanding and turned to face the pool, standing vigilant. Terrance would let Ignus do his thing, he'd keep a look out for anything else that wanted to be a bother. "Quite the magnet for trouble aren't you Soren?" There was humour in his voice, but he was rigid in his scanning of the cave; daring not to go near the pool.

Dazed as he was it took a moment for Soren to realize that he was being hauled clear of the water and that his two companions were trying to talk to him. The gentleman gym leader sat upright and placed a hand on the back of his head where it'd hit the ground. There wasn't much blood, just a smear but he'd have a nice headache and a good lump for his troubles. He felt like he was going to be sick, but he wasn't about to tell the others that - there was no time for worrying about him when there was something potentially malicious in the stone cavern with them. He looked at Ignus and shook his head groggily. "I'm alright, nothing to be concerned about," he said. Carefully, he got onto his feet, staggering a little, but quickly finding his ground now that the stars were disappearing from his vision. He noted that Terrance had his Luxray out and quickly took a leaf out of the Warden's book. He unclipped a pokeball from his belt and Gengar appeared in a flash of light.
"Magnet? I'm a trouble generator Terrance," Soren said dryly as he drew up alongside the ex-gym leader. "Did anyone see what that was? I was a little preoccupied with, well you know, not drowning."

Ignus nodded as he returned his first-aid kit to the metal briefcase. "I see..." Ignus kept Inazuma out as he drew up next to the Warden and Gym Leader, looking around. "The only thing I managed to get a glimpse of was something white along the surface of the water...that was it...whatever we're dealing with here...it doesn't like us being here..." Inazuma the Rotom kept floating above their heads, keeping the cavern bright but also crackling with electricity. Ignus also kept a sharp eye on the water as he looked at the water, ready to attack anything that might jump out at any of them.

Terrance paced around the pool, with Lisimba close by his side as they examined the water - making sure to keep just a few yards away so he could move if anything jumped out at them. He listened to Soren and Ignus, "I didn't see anything. If you say something white then... That doesn't quite make sense. The only white water pokemon I can think of wouldn't live in pools like this, unless there's a larger body of water underneath. It could have been a Tentacruel - but their tentacles are brown, not white." He stroked his fingers along his jaw, coming around full circle to rejoin the two men.
"I have no idea. But I want to find out. Soren, are you able enough? I wanna try and lure that thing back to the surface - see exactly what it is we're up against. If things get tight we can just run back to the entrance." He'd already begun to rummage through his back for some pokeblock to use as bait.

"Haha! I finally caught up with you treasure stealing fiends!"
Arthur was behind the trio of men, looking ragged. Following these guys was not an easy task. He had to catch his breath before revealing himself to them, lest he risk looking like a sweaty, unfit, amateur treasure hunter. Which he was, but still, he wanted to make a good entrance. Which was easier than expected, they all seemed to be staring at a pool of water. They must have been pretty focussed on it too, if they didn't manage to detect Arthur stumbling into the cavern after them.
"Ha, you thought you could keep treasure away from me? How pathetic, you don't know who I am, do you?" He paused to cackle in a patronising manner, looking thoroughly amused. "You really don't know of the great Arthur Dun- Why are you wet?" Mirth turned to confusion as he finally took in the the trio's condition. Arthur wondered what the hell could have happened to make them all so skittish.
Whatever it was, he knew it'd be interesting.

Soren gave a slight start when Arthur's voice sounded behind them. He turned quickly on the spot - and got a wave of dizziness for his troubles, but he held firm. "What the - I'm sorry but I haven't the faintest idea who you are," Soren said carefully, ignoring the enquirey to his condition. "And I'm afraid I need to ask you to stand back a little - we aren't alone in here."
With that the gym leader turned to Terrance; they'd deal with this Arthur fellow later, right now they needed to see just what had tried to pull him to a watery grave. He gave the Warden a nod as he took out a pokeblock from his bag, presumably to use as bait. "Yes, I'm fit enough - just what did you have in mind exactly?"

Ignus turned around and just stared sternly at Arthur. He nodded when Soren spoke. "I agree with Soren...who are you, why did you follow us, and what are you doing down here?" He just stared sternly but kept himself alert for the thing that was lurking beneath the pool of water just waiting to lash out at them. Inazuma just whizzed around Arthur's head a few times, just out of reach so he didn't get swatted and just hummed as he danced above Arthur's head. Ignus smirked and chuckled a little. "Looks like my Rotom's taken a liking to you. But, don't try and swat him away. He will shock you if you're not careful."
His eyes glanced at the pool temporarily, then decided that Soren and Terrance could handle the creature. Right now, he thought, it would be best to question the egotist that just popped out of nowhere.

Arthur arrived and Terranced turned to look, oh, he recognized this guy. But where from... "Chill Ignus, he's just a pirate. He obviously saw Arcanine and Torterra at the top of the crevace, if I saw two Pokemon waiting outside. I'd go check it out as well. Welcome aboard, you said your name's Arthur right? I'm Terrance, this is Ignus, Soren. We've just found something, we think. Not treasure though. Might wanna be careful, I'm gonna try bring whatever it was back here." He warned, then grinned over at Soren. "Every pokemon likes good food."
With that he'd edge closer to the edge of the pool, throwing in an assortment of pokeblock and normal pokemon food, he'd quickly edge back then. His fingers crossed in hope it might work, "We might have to use Soren as bait if that doesn't work."

Arthur frowned as Ignus's Rotom hovered near his head. He kept his eyes on the pokémon as he started walking towards the others, muttering "Go away." When it flew a bit too close to his face.
"Wait." Arthur turned to Terrance, looking him up and down. "Just so we are absolutely clear, you say there is no treasure down here?" That would suck, it wasn't easy getting down here. Although it looked like they were trying to lure something out. Hmm, sounds exciting! Although, it could be strong, and scary. "Er, I think I'll just stick with you guys, see what's going on, yeah? I could help out and... stuff." He coughed into his hand to get rid of the slight tremor in his voice. He wasn't very good with scary things, so he'll just let these guys sort it out, then he can sit back and reap the rewards!
"Oh, and it's not just Arthur. It's Commodore Arthur Duncaté. He grinned, taking his hat off with a flourish and bowing in a vainglorious attempt to impress the others. This was then accompanied by a bright flash of light, as his Feraligatr was summoned from it's ball. The crocodile-like pokémon letting out a few deep growls. Arthur smiled. "There, now I feel less out of place. Now, let us see what sort of leviathan we're dealing with."

Soren nodded in agreement with Terrance's plan and watched as the Warden tossed the pokeblock into the pool. For the time being he was going to have to ignore Arthur and focus on their quarry. The pokeblock bobbed up and down on the surface of the water for a few moments before it suddenly disappeared under the surface, snatched away by a flash of white but the movement was so gentle it made hardly a ripple in the pool. They waited for a few minutes, but with no further activity Soren glanced over to Terrance. "Well let's see if I can't be better bait."The gym leader edged over to the rim of the pool, a pokeblock from his own knapsack in hand, and set it down in the water right next to the edge of the rocky shore. For a moment it seemed like nothing was going to take the bait, then without warning the water exploded into white foam as a long serpentine shape broke through the surface, snatching up the pokeblock. Something solid impacted Soren's chest - not an offensive blow, more like a curious nudge, but it was enough to send the gym leader sprawling onto his back. He groaned and propped himself up on his elbows, trying to see what had hit him. It took a few long moments of staring, observing the signature fan-like tail and long flowing projections coming from the head to realize just what he was staring at. "A - A Milotic?"The creature suddenly leaned out over the edge of the pool, its head hovering directly above Soren, staring at him with curious pink eyes. There was no denying that it was a Milotic - but the colouring was all wrong, rather than the signature cream and pink colouring or the rarer blue, cream and gold combo this specimen was completely white from tip to tail save for it's large pink eyes. Soren swallowed sharply when the water-serpent leaned further out of the water so that it was directly over him, its nose almost touching the gym leader's own. "Erm - how do you do?"((Okay I'll explain it's an Albino Milotic - I figure well since there can be regular and Shiny's - which in my mind are just pokemon with certain recessive alleles controlling colouring why can't there be one with a complete lack of pigmantation all together? and Milotics can live in freash water - I checked lol))

Ignus observed the strange-colored Milotic curiously. "Well, I'm no Professor, but that is a strangely-colored Milotic..." He then beckoned for Inazuma to leave Arthur alone and the Rotom nodded, hovering next to him, staring in as much awe as he was at the Milotic. Ignus had seen many Milotics back in Hoenn, but not with a color scheme like this one. Ignus just sat down and looked at the Milotic carefully. "Hmm...well, it's not a regular Milotic...and it's not a Shiny Milotic...what kind of Milotic is it?" He kept himself from attacking it, since he could tell it was curious about Soren more than attacking the others, Inazuma still lighting up the cavern with Flash along with the light coming from the ceiling.

Terrance grinned at Arthur, "Sorry Commodore, as far as we know. No treasure." He turned back to Soren who offered himself up again - this time with more success as the white Milotic emerged from the pool, getting very comfortable with Soren. "Looks like she likes you Soren" He snickered, Luxray was on the defensive at the Milotic; but the lion was somewhat trigger happy.
"Ignus, can you get your Rotom to dull down the light? If this is what I think it is, it won't be very used to light." He figured albino, with such distinctive white skin and red eyes, undoubtedly sensitive to light if it's been down here all this time. But never before had he seen it in a Pokemon like this one. "Speaking of Professors, she's going to want to see this. Soren? What's the plan?"

((>.> Well we can't wait around all day I suppose need to post whilst able, ze lab reports are piling up on me)) Soren held his breath, making sure to keep still as the white Milotic proceeded to nudge her short snout against his face, chest and arms. He noted that her large pink eyes did not focus on anything in particular and he was willing to bet that her vision was very poor – if she could see at all which was probably why she was relying more on touch to figure out what kind of creature had invaded her quiet little cave. The gym leader glanced over at Terrance and nodded slightly. “Ah yes, she's going to want to see this one isn't she. Erm, I suppose we should try to catch it?” he suggested, awkwardly petting the water serpent's head when she thrust it beneath his hand. “But I don't want anything too harsh...she seems quite docile now. I'm thinking we must've startled her with the light when we came in and that's why she attacked. Self-defence and all that.”True enough the Milotic looked quite content having her head stroked, she almost looked like she was about to fall asleep - “Ah, that'd do the trick. Gengar, Hypnosis if you would.”The ghost-type nodded and his eyes began glowing in the darkness, sending out waves of psychic energy towards the Milotic. The move had the desire effect and after a few moments of swaying she coiled herself up on the edge of the pool, dropping her head unceremoniously on Soren's chest. The gym leader sighed and gave Terrance, Ignus and Arthur a pleading look. “Would someone mind handing me a pokéball of some sort? I can really reach mine at the moment and – she's rather heavy...bit difficult to breathe you know.”((anybody else giggling at this? ))

Ignus nodded, and looked at Inazuma. "Dim the Flash a little, Inazuma. Okay?" The Rotom nodded and dimmed it, still looking at Arthur curiously from behind Ignus' head. Ignus was completely intrigued by the white Milotic. Though, he can pretty much tell that it had taken a bit of a liking to Soren as he watched the water serpent nudge the Speed Gym Leader a few times. He smiled a little, and then handed Soren one of his Ultra Balls from a pocket in his briefcase. "Here, Soren. Use this one." After handing Soren the Ultra Ball, Ignus stepped back a little and waited, Inazuma now perched on Ignus' head, leaning to its side a few times, then standing upright, intrigued by the albino Milotic.

Arthur was about to say something along the lines of 'FINE, IGNORE ME THEN' and throw a hissy fit, until he saw the albino creature. He could only stare in awe. He could only think about how pretty it was. "Dude, if you don't hurry up and catch that, I will."
He turned to his Feraligatr with a disapproving look, thinking, 'why can't he be as uniquely coloured as that Milotic?'
He focussed back onto the others. "How the hell can it be that colour anyway? I mean, I know that albinism is inherited from recessive alleles and blah blah, but personally, I have never seen that in pokémon before." It is such a rare occurrence that he wondered if they had stumbled upon something completely new. In which case he would be like a celebrity or something. He couldn't help but grin at the thought of becoming a rich and famous celebrity. Zeke would be soooo jealous right now.
