Name: Airi (beloved jasmine) Erizawa
Age: 19
Hair: Black, straight, just below her chin. Grows to the nape of her neck. Usually has small pigtails on the side or something. Maybe a headband, depending on her mood.
Eyes: Her eyes are dark brown
Gender: female
Height: 5' 4"
Build: Thin but toned. She has high endurance, and she doesn't look as fast as she really is.
Home Region/Town: Lavender Town in the Kanto Region
Current Residence:
Pokémon League Achievements: None yet.
Training Specialties: Normal and Ground or Rock
Profession: Pokémon Trainer
Background: Airi has always been adventurous and showed it off very much when she was a kid. She grew up loving Pokémon and bouncing in her seat while waiting for the years to pass by. She idolized her older brother, rambling often about how she was going to get Pokémon of her own someday and battle him.
When she was six, her mom told her the story of Mother Marowak, and she immediately vowed to find a Cubone and show it that it wouldn't ever be alone again. She kept that promise only three years later.
When she was twelve, she was contacted by her dad with the news of her brother's death. She was heartbroken. When she came home, she met Meg thanks to Rex.
She's a determined, passionate person, and she doesn't give up until she is completely unable to go further.
Team:
• Rex
--Species: Marowak
--Nature: Careful
--Gender: Male
--Ability: Lightningrod
--Moves: Dig, Bonemerang, Bone Rush, and Bone Club
--Background: Much like the haunting legend in Lavender Town, Rex lost his mother only a few months after he was born, but it was because she got very sick. He wandered alone for weeks, unsure of what to do and heartbroken from his loss, but was then found by a 9-year-old Airi.
Airi took him in and helped nurse him back to full health. When he was well again, instead of leaving, he decided to stay and waited until the young girl was old enough to catch him. He became her closest friend, and grew to love her very much (best friend/brother way, of course. LOL).
Rex grew strong and powerful, accepting when she began to catch other Pokémon to join their party. He even started helping a couple of them with techniques when they needed it. All in all, he became a sort of big brother for all of them, making it his job to help Cole keep everyone in line and lend a helping hand.
• Cole "Bubba"
--Species: Ursaring
--Nature: Bold
--Gender: Male
--Ability: Quick Feet
--Moves: Hammer Arm, Hone Claws, Hyper Beam, and Earthquake.
--Background: Cole was caught as a Teddiursa a few weeks after Airi began her traveling, meeting her in a chance encounter. After he was caught, he immediately informed Rex that the Cubone was not going to evolve before he did. Of course, he was proven very wrong later. Cole eventually loosened up and became a bit of a father-ish figure, even though he does have a little of the "tough love" factor.
Bubba became his sort of secondary nickname a little later on once he was a full-grown Ursaring and he reminded Airi in attitude of her brother.
• Sage
--Species: Onix
--Nature: Serious
--Gender: Male
--Ability: Sturdy
--Moves: Rock Tomb, Iron Tail, Harden, and Stone Edge.
--Background: Sort of the delinquent brother of the group. He also met Airi in a chance encounter, going along willingly when he was caught. He has no problem with the others in his team, except for Meg, whom he will talk about frequently--usually in a bit of a negative manner. He's a serious guy (obviously), but he has a nice side, and he tends not to be an ass to people that haven't given him a reason to.
• Meg
--Species: Sneasel
--Nature: Lonely
--Gender: Female
--Ability: Keen Eye
--Moves: Shadow Claw, Ice Beam, Blizzard, and Metal Claw.
--Background: Meg was originally Airi's big brother Ryuu's Pokémon. She was his first and she was attached to him to an almost extreme degree. The Sneasel was extremely protective and turned vicious if anyone with harmful intentions or she got suspicious of came near Ryuu. Nonetheless, she was actually a very kind Pokémon.
But then a group of Team Rocket elites captured her and her trainer, stealing his Pokémon and locking her in a cage. Ryuu had apparently learned bits of information--or they thought he did--that he shouldn't have. They questioned him, and every time he would defy them, he'd be sent to the floor from a harsh blow. Meg could only watch and struggle to get free and scream and cry in horror as the elites eventually lost their patience and sent their own Pokémon to rip him apart. The shattered Pokémon was rescued a short while later by her trainer's father.
When she was brought back to his home, she refused to return to her ball. She wouldn't eat, wouldn't sleep, and barely moved. When she got sick, she flinched away from every touch Nurse Joy tried attempted, going to the extent of giving a sharp warning nip. They finally had to put her under hypnosis.
She remained the same after she was brought home until Airi and her friends came by to attend the young man's funeral. It was then that Rex got to talking to her and convinced her to join his team, to become stronger and turn her grief to strength. Reluctantly, she agreed. She started eating again, and tried to start sleeping, but she still refuses to go into her ball. She doesn't want to evolve, either.
Reserves: Many, many, and many, including her Blaziken Garrette.
