Brooke took a deep breath, she was nervous at what they were about to find. Grumpig looked up at her and gave her an assuring smile, Brooke returned it warily and patted the pigs head. Sharpedo trailed just a few feet behind; beady eyes fixated on the large orange dragon and noticing how its tail was drooped in flight, that couldn’t be good. Brooke looked over her Pokémon, making sure that they were alright, Sharpedo was good, as was Grumpig; but she too noticed Charizard’s tail. She frowned and leaned over Grumpig slightly to stroke the dragon’s neck, “It’s alright pal. Just a little longer.” Charizard moaned in protest, but continued regardless; not wanting to let her down.
“Lorna! We’re going to need to land soon. Do you see anything?” She called, getting Charizard to bank and fly closer and level with Dragonite. Ahead, through the mass canopy of trees a small steel spire poked through, it wasn’t obvious unless one looked extremely hard and probably through binoculars. Around it a swarm of green and brown flew by; Vibrava and Flygon. That was the source of the signal, now they just need to shut it off. Charizard began to groan more in pain and brought its hands up to its ears to cover them, Brooke hushed him softly, “Sssh, it’s okay, it’s okay. Lorna, let’s go back.” Brooke gently heeled Charizard and he complied, his wings opened out and his body tiled backwards to allow the wind to drag him back and away from the signal.
Brooke drew the walkie talkie and held down the button so she could speak, “Tamsin, Seth? Do you read me?” She repeated that a few times until she would get a response, then she’d continue, “We’re having to turn back, signal’s stronger than I thought. Keep heading down that track and you’ll find a tower, I’m sure you can’t miss it when you get closer. Keep us posted. Over and out.” Brooke gave a heavy sigh, then guided Charizard down to land. They’d have to return their Pokémon and walk from here on out.

Lorna gritted her teeth every time she felt Dragonite tense up beneath her. Glancing over at Brooke she saw she wasn't the only one having issues. Charizard's tail was drooped low, far too low and every now and again the elder dragon would let out a small groan of pain. Dragonite, too, started feeling the adverse affects and let out a shrill whine, tossing his head.
Without warning a burst of static ripped through the radar reciever. Lorna yelped and ripped out the headphones she placed over her ears to better hear the electronic signals. She spotted the metal spire just after Brooke did and nodded to her fellow scientist. She pressed her heels against Dragonite's sides and the pokemon angled his wings, swooping down towards land next to Charizard. "Brooke whatever that - thing is, it completely overrided my radio collars...and pretty much deafened me in the process," the biologist replied, rubbing her left ear which was still ringing uncomfortably. "I managed to get a look at the frequency of that signal - it's well above 20,000 Hertz, too high for us to hear but certainly within the range of our pokemon, especially the dragons. I couldn't get much else before the radar copped out."
She held up the now unresponsive device as the pokemon professor radioed the others to inform them of the situation. She placed the ruined equipment back into her satchel with a growl. "If we don't get some answers soon someone's itchin' to get their arse handed to 'em."

Ignus and his Gallade Garet kept running at the same pace the two dragon Pokemon were going, but then stopped when they turned around, Ignus noticing Lorna rubbing her ears. That bad, huh? He then noticed Garet pulling on his coat sleeve, the Gallade not looking too well. "What is it, Garet? Don't tell me you're wussing out already!"The Gallade then made an irritated face, which made Ignus sigh and playfully chop his partner's head.
"Garet, even I know that this isn't enough to make your resolve falter. You wanna prove that's you're stronger than Baron, right? Well, here's your chance. Besides, I promised that you would get to fight, and I meant it." Garet then raised his blades, sounded a battle cry, and then gave Ignus a thumbs-up, Ignus showing confidence. "Good. Now then..." Ignus then gripped the tree branch tightly, and watched as the Charizard and the Dragonite flew some ways away. "Let's see what's the problem here..."
Ignus and Garet managed to get close enough to see the giant steel spire from amidst the treeline, Garet himself looking like he was fighting off something, both of his hands clasped over his head, Ignus watching the structure with his binoculars, watching the circling Vibrava and Flygon carefully. "Great...well, whatever that thing is, seems to have some kind of effect on the Pokemon around here...whether or not those Pokemon are owned or wild..." His eyes turned to Garet, who still had his hands clasped over what appeared to be his ears. Ignus sighed, and taking Garet's Pokeball, pointed it at him, the Gallade looking at his Trainer, who smiled softly. "Garet, you should return before you lose your hearing. Return."
And with that, Ignus was alone, staring up at the steel spire. <sigh>Great...now what? Take it out? No, that would be too risky...if we try to take out our Pokemon, whatever that spire's doing will cause them to act unaccordingly...almost as if...as if it affects their hearing! And those Pokemon circling it...maybe that spire is using some sort of radio frequency to manipulate them...manipulate...
Ignus stared at his hand, which was shaking uncontrollably. Ignus sighed, put his binoculars back in his briefcase, and went back to staring at the circling Pokemon, completely ignorant that he was watching them intently. He then heard voices, and turning around on the branch he was sitting on, noticed Tamsin and Seth walking his way. Okay...now this seems a little too weird...knowing Brooke, she must have given them walkie-talkies to stay in touch...not to mention they must have figure out the radio frequency and all...if I'm no use to them as an extra mind, then what good am I? <sigh> Oh well...if you can't beat 'em, join 'em I guess...that is, if they can give me another chance...

(Not sure if I should post, but if so, here goes ) Seth walked along with Tamsin and they came along the rocky side of a mountain. "Looks like we're climbing... I'll go first and make sure no stones fall, then you can follow. Look for anything suspiscious I suppose." He hated to sound bossy towards Tamsin, he had a lot of respect for her, but they did have a mission to complete. He began to climb and found the rocks sturdy, at least for now. As they made their way up, a tower came into view. "Do you think that's it?" he asked Tamsin. Weavile became more fidgety. "If it is, we should look for an off switch or something. It does look like steel though, maybe if we used a fire Pokemon?"

The path didn't stretch too far above them, but it was still an inconvenience. Seth offered to head up first. Sounded like a plan.
"I'll catch you if you fall." Tamsin chuckled, taking a swig of coffee from her thermos. As she shoved it back into her bag the radio buzzed into life.
“Tamsin, Seth? Do you read me?” Brooke's voice piped up through the handset.
"This is Team Ice Pops, we copy, over."
She winked at Seth. Brooke continued. They were turning back. Something about a tower. The radio was messing up slightly, maybe the signal that the tower was giving off was screwing with the signal? That's when Seth saw it. "Yeah, looks like the place. I'll radio it in." The radio was good, but Tamsin didn't know if the message would get through. "Hey Boss, we found the tower. Want us to wait here for you or head straight in?"
(Again, I'm really sorry for not being on here more guys. Revision is a twat. Only a month or so and I'll be freeeeeeeee!)

(No worries Tamsin xD I'm in the same position!)
"I managed to get a look at the frequency of that signal - it's well above 20,000 Hertz, too high for us to hear but certainly within the range of our pokemon, especially the dragons. I couldn't get much else before the radar copped out."
Brooke frowned and decided as a safety measure to turn off her laptop and place it back into her bag. "That's terrible... We need to hurry, come on." Brooke would begin a quick paced walk towards the tower when she got her response from Tamsin.
"Hey Boskkkkkssssssshhhh. Want us to sssshhrrrkkkkshshhh head straight in?"
The interference was terrible, but Brooke got the basic idea, "Team Ice Pop, go for it. See what you can do and we'll catch up with you, over and out." She looked to Lorna and nodded, "Let's try to hurry, they may not know that it's dangerous for the other Pokemon and the radio will no doubt be dead the closer they get to the tower." Brooke withdrew any pokemon that were still out and then went as quickly as she could towards the tower.
--
When Tamsin and Seth would eventually arrive, they would find that the tower was just higher than the canopy. It was massive, there were no brands on it, no identification markers that showed who erected the tower. All they needed to know was that there wasn't an off button and that there were some infuriated Flygon and Vibrava lurking around.

Despite the seriousness of the situation Lorna couldn't help by smirk when Brooke mentioned the name 'Team Ice Pop' Pulling herself back to reality she quickly withdrew Dragonite and followed Brooke towards the tower. If it came down to it she could maybe try to climb it - she did enough of it out in the field for her research, but unless they had a definate plan to take the thing out it wasn't a terribly good idea in the biologist's mind.
She looked around, feeling decidedly uncomfortable. She knew there were a significant amount of irritated Flygon and Vibrava in the area. She just hoped Tamsin, Seth and Ignus, wherever he was would be alright. She looked at Brooke and frowned. "What purpose could this rig possibly serve? And why the hell hasn't anyone found it before - it's like it sprung up overnight, I certainly don't recall it being here when I was tagging the Flygon!"

Ignus sighed, seeing as if that spire looked much more massive the closer he walked towards it. It didn't take him long to notice not a single identification marker on the steel structure, as he walked closer and closer, trying not to get noticed by the circling dragon Pokemon.
Well, well...no sign of who built this...and apparently this was never here before...doesn't stick out as much, but still... He nodded to himself, and then noticed a Flygon flying towards him and landing in front of him, the giant dragon Pokemon looking at him strangely, as if the Flygon was in a trance of sorts. Then, the Flygon used a Dragon Pulse, which Ignus managed to roll dodge. Tch...just as I thought...the radio frequency...it's almost like mind control...and the only way that the brain can be controlled completely is through the ears...Guess it can't be helped...
Reaching into his briefcase, after dodging the Flygon's Dragon Claw, Ignus pulled out his shades. "Huh, so that's where they were. <sigh> Along with his shades, Ignus pulled out a few cylindrical canisters.
With the current conditions, I can only use these canisters for a good 30 seconds...it's do or die from here on out. While they're distracted...I have to aim for that spire, and take it down! Taking out Baron's Pokeball, Ignus threw the canisters into the air, yelling out as the Flygon closed in: "Baron, Hydro Cannon! NOW! -- The resulting explosion could be heard all around the jungle.

((I'm - not quite sure how to respond to that XD I realize that any problem in life can be solved with enough C4, but as a pokemon trainer are you really going to be carrying around high explosives in your briefcase? ))

(The explosion was actually from the Hydro Cannon. If you have a problem with my previous post, I can revise it, if that's alright.)
(Also, perhaps I should explain...Ignus' briefcase is actually made of metal casing, containing some of his exploration tools, including some hidden items should his Pokemon not be up to battling wild Pokemon. I think I'll have Ignus explain how some of his tools work. If not, I'll revise it if it's way out of character.)

(Aaah the explosion coming from the Hydro Canon makes more sense. Can you tell us what the canister is for though? That's what's confused us I think, also, I think you ought to explain the contents of Ignus' briefcase in his bio so we don't get this confusion happening again xD; )

(guess I could go?)
Seth could see Brooke and Lorna in the distance, but right before he could wave he saw Ignus coming in from yet another direction.
"Everyone's here, but I don't think they see us..." Seth said down to Tamsin, who had just finished talking to Brooke. "Should we approach th- what the heck??"
He saw Ignus toss something into the air and Seth slid back down to Tamsin. "Get down!"
A sudden explosion that was deafening to them both followed a bright flash. When it was all over Seth looked over at Tamsin, asking "You okay?" Suddenly he felt his chest tighten even more suddenly than before and he gasped.

(Right, sorry for neglecting this. Revision and such what >>;; Also, I assume this is what the Hydro Pump did?)
"What purpose could this rig possibly serve? And why the hell hasn't anyone found it before - it's like it sprung up overnight, I certainly don't recall it being here when I was tagging the Flygon!"
Brooke sighed, shaking her head as they traversed the jungle, “Who knows, maybe it was a recent addition, as you say. I know there’s a ranch nearby, once we’re done we can ask and see if they saw anything.. Maybe.” She groaned, being Professor was hard; she had to continuously do this sort of thing, go out and find out what’s wrong – she sometimes wondered whether she’d actually be able to do any proper research!
Out of the blue an explosion ripped through the forest from what seemed to be the location of the tower. Brooke stared in shock, “Oh no! Lorna, we need to run! Tamsin and Seth may have gotten caught up in that!” Once that was out, Brooke broke out into a run and charged as fast as her feet could carry her to the location of the radio transmitter... Or what was left of it.
Coming upon the scene, Brooke gasped in disbelief at the destruction of the tower from the explosion. Her expression instantly twisted into a frown, looking around. The one she saw first? Ignus and his Blastoise, surrounded by stunned Flygon and Vibrava. She jumped to the conclusion, “What in Kansai did you do?! How are we supposed to identify who owned the tower now?” She turned, Tamsin and Seth were safe. That was good at the very least.
