(An RP between Alexander and Kalan. Anyone can join in if they'd like. Alexander made his way through the forest, simply exploring. He was already well into it and didn't see any sign of either town it separated. "Well, this is lovely." He murmured pleasantly to himself. "It's nice and quiet right now, don't you agree, Rem?" The Sawk walking alongside the man nodded. Rem served not only as Alexander's friend, but also as a sort of bodyguard. He didn't mind, though; just as long as he got some hours of training in a day. The man kept on for a while before stepping into a small clearing, then sitting himself down at the foot of a large tree, leaning against it with his legs stretched out in front of him. "You can do your business, Rem." He smiled. "I just need to rest my leg a moment. I'll be fine." Nodding, Rem mumbled and then gave a short, respectful bow before disappearing into the trees.

Kalan was exploring the forest on his own, staying in the trees and listening and watching his surroundings carefully. He was in his dark attire, the outfit he wore while hunting for Pokémon to capture. His hair was pinned close to his head skillfully, making it look like it barely reached his shoulders, and the mask he wore covered his whole face. His entire outfit was black as pitch.
His Gallade was nearby, scouting ahead as he always did. "Master," The word echoed through the poacher's mind. "There is a trainer some fifty feet away. I can sense he has one out with him."
Kalan smirked. Then he moved through the branches to catch up with his companion, whom had made his way to a point where he could see the trainer. "Good job, Shade." He murmured almost inaudibly. The man looked a little stiff, he noted, seeing the walking cane as well as his limp. Easy prey. After a moment, the trainer stopped and sat down in a clearing, sending the Sawk--Rem, he called him--away. "This will be fun..."

(Yay, you read his profile~ XD)
Alexander was oblivious to the impending danger, sighing softly as he relaxed, listening to the distant sound of trees being hit thanks to Rem. Reaching to his belt, he took out a Pokéball, pressing the small button. A moment later, a female Floatzel was standing near him. "Hello, Sofie." He greeted kindly with a soft smile.
The Pokémon smiled sweetly, calling her own soft greeting before walking to her trainer and curling up beside him, her head resting on his left leg. She chortled contentedly when he rubbed her head lovingly.

The poacher raised an eyebrow when he saw the Floatzel. "Beautiful fur..." He mumbled under his breath. "She will fetch a very good price, don't you think, Shade?"
The Gallade nodded. "How should we go about this?"
"Shadow Sneak." He smirked darkly. "Simply knock the trainer out and we'll have them. If the Floatzel puts up a fight, knock her out as well. Make sure none of them escape."
Shade flashed a small grin and nodded once more, standing as he readied himself for the ambush.

Sofie's nose twitched as a breeze passed, picking up both a human and a Pokémon, and close. She slowly lifted her head and looked around. She could smell them, but she couldn't see them. The Floatzel's murmured in slight worry.
Alexander looked down at his friend, frowning slightly when he heard the worried mumble. "Do you smell something, dear?" He whispered. At the small nod he received in response, he sighed softly. If someone was close enough for her smell, he would usually be able to see or hear the stranger. That could mean only one thing, truly, he knew; he had run into poachers before in his younger days.
Reaching for three more Pokéballs on his belt, releasing the three Pokémon inside. Antoine, Mei-Mei, and Evani appeared; his second Floatzel, Cubchoo, and Froslass in order. "I want you guys to get out of here." He murmured in a hushed whisper. "Don't ask questions, just go. Antoine, carry Mei-Mei and look after your sister. Evani, create a distraction." Unlatching his last to Pokéballs from his belt, he handed them to the Froslass. "Take care of them." All actions and words were completed within seconds, leaving his team confused, but able to grasp the urgency in his voice.
Nodding, they all turned to go.

Kalan's eyes narrowed when he saw what was going on. The trainer was smart. He pulled out a Pokéball and released his Banette Hex. "Take care of the Froslass." He hissed. "Quickly. Shade, get the Floatzel." Both Pokémon nodded and were on their way immediately. Shade proceeded to use his Shadow Sneak move, reappearing at a rear angle from the trainer with the intention of knocking him out as planned. Hex moved after Evani, readying a Thunder Wave.

Alexander got the itching feeling that something was right behind him suddenly, but he would have no time to turn around. Evani, on the other hand, narrowed her eyes when she saw the Banette coming her way, throwing a billowing pillar of Icy Wind at him and moving to evade the Thunder Wave. But she was too distracted to see what had happened to her trainer, holding on tightly to the Pokéballs in her hands, cradling them to her body. Froslass were by stereotype bitter Pokémon, and Evani definitely was, but she was ready to defend her friends--her family--and her trainer with whatever life she had.
The Floatzel siblings raced through the forest as fast as they could, Mei-Mei crying out in confusion, wondering what exactly was going on. Antoine barked at her to quiet down, but it did little. Just find another trainer, he knew. Find help, and everything would be okay.

Shade smirked as the human slumped over, unconscious. Then he used Shadow Sneak again, traveling at a rapid pace to catch up with the fleeing Pokémon.
Hex dodged the Icy Wind quickly, taking refuge behind a tree. Then he moved up high, coming out over the top of it, throwing another Thunder Wave.
The poacher watched the actions from the shadows, smirking all the while. This was nothing. His companions had dealt with fights worse than this. Opening his last two Pokéballs, he released his Houndoom. "Burn her." He stated. "Don't let her see you."
Devil and Demona growled and nodded, heading out quickly, sneaking through the shadows to get on the ghost's blind side, fire ready in their mouths.

Evani listened carefully, looking around when the Banette took shelter. Then, listening, she heard the crackle of electricity, throwing herself backward to dodge the second Thunder Wave. Hissing, she readied a Shadow Ball, flinging it at her attacker harshly. Her other hand still clutched the Pokéball for dear life.
Using Agility a few times, Antoine sped up, diving and weaving through the shrubs in his way, one hand holding on tightly to his sister's as she followed. He kelt glancing behind them, getting the feeling that they were being followed.

Hex dodged the Shadow Ball with ease, grinning widely as he let gravity take over, falling straight toward the Froslass. At the last moment, he pulled up, but not without throwing yet another Thunder Wave.
Shade could see the two Floatzel and their small companion now. He was simply dashing from tree to tree, making sure not to let his whereabouts be known.

Taken by surprise by the unexpected move, Evani had no time to dodge this time, crying out as the Thunder Wave hit her, but refusing to release the Pokéball still. She would not give in. Struggling, she managed to start moving away, stubborn and determined not to give in to the complete paralysis beginning to seep into her body.
It was Sofie that let out a soft call this time to her brother, feeling very on edge. She wanted to get to safety as fast as possible, but she was worried about not only her trainer, but also her friends--one of which was fighting, the other probably oblivious to the whole situation, and the last still stuck in his Pokéball to her knowledge. What if they didn't make it?
Suddenly, a sort of crashing sound reached the trio's ears, making them look over their shoulder at an angry shout. Rem had heard the commotion and had followed the pursuing Gallade, and now he was coming straight at him, Bulk Up in effect and a Brick Break on the way.

The Banette cackles in triumph as his move hit its mark, glancing back to the shadows where his owner was readying a customized net, made to hold ghost-type Pokémon and prevent their escape. Looking back to the struggling Froslass, he grinned widely, readying one more attack: Hex. At the same time, Devil and Demon unleashed a full force Incinerate.
Shade heard the yell and sank into the shadows immediately to avoid being hit, coming back up behind the Sawk with a counter attack ready. This wasn't good. The Pokémon had seen him, knew what he was. He had to end this quick. The blades on his elbows extended and he readied a Psycho Cut.

Finally seeing no way to dodge everything, Evani let out a haunting screech in rage at her attackers, turning and hurling the Pokéball as far and as hard as she could, just before all three attacks hit her. It was only a moment later that she floated to the ground, sinking into unconsciousness.
Rem shouted again, throwing himself to the ground to avoid being hit. The usually-calm Sawk was fairly angry at the events occurring and he charged straight back into the tree with another Brick Break.
The trio had stopped to stare in surprise. What was Rem attacking? What was he fighting? They didn't know, and Antoine finally decided that it be best they didn't know. Rem could handle himself, he reasoned; even at a younger age, the Sawk was able to withstand attacks from Pokémon twice as strong as himself. With a sharp tug on his sister's paw, the Floatzel began running again.

Kalan jumped down from his perch on the tree, quickly and skillfully winding the net he had made himself around the unconscious Pokémon. Then he went to her equally-unconscious trainer and unhatched the empty Pokéballs remaining on his belt. Smirking, he returned the Froslass to her ball. "One down, five to go." He stopped to correct himself, pointing toward where Evani had thrown the Pokéball she had been guarding. "Fetch." It only took Devil a few moments to find the Pokéball and carry it back, being sure not to accidentally press the releasing button. "Good boy, Devil. Thank you." Kalan smiled, hooking the stolen Pokémon to his own belt. He looked to his companions, contemplating a long moment. If he sent all of them after the runners, there would be a higher risk of them being seen by a stray wandering trainer.
"Hmmm....Hex, go help Shade. Devil and Demona, stay here. We need as slim a risk as possible of being seen." The Banette nodded and headed off immediately, the two Houndoom barking loyally before they were returned to their Pokéballs. "Soon, I'll have a whole team for auction." He murmured. "Today is a good day." Then he jumped back up into a tree, silently following his Pokémon.
As soon as Hex saw the commotion between Shade and the furious Sawk, he shook his head. This always happened at least once in a while. Coming up behind the Sawk, still staying out of sight of any passer-by, he readied a Shadow Ball as Shade threw another Psycho Cut.

Rem practically backed into the Shadow Ball, crying out in pained surprise before the Psycho Cut made contact. Rem had always been a sturdy Pokémon, but when it came to strong psychic attacks, he had little resistance. The Sawk was out soon after, but not before fighting as hard as he could to stay conscious.
All of Alexander's Pokémon were strong, but they had never--minus Sofie--been involved in a situation as horrid as this.
Antoine and Sofie kept running, Mei-Mei clinging to the male Floatzel in fright. The young Cubchoo was nearly in tears as the full realization of what was happening came to her as Sofie hurriedly explained. They all wanted to go back and help and feared the worst for their friends.
