(This is a slightly private RP between Brooke and I, people should be able to jump in later as they choose )
Roxanne woke up with a slight cramp in her neck. It seems sleeping on the floor of the Pokemon Center's bathroom was not a wise choice in comfort.
Roxanne got up and immediately began to touch up her makeup in the mirror. Nearby, Sableye was busy unrolling toilet paper.
This was getting a little ridiculous, Roxanne had to admit to herself. She'd used the last of her Stadium winnings to get herself to Kansai, and was now so broke she couldn't afford a place to sleep.
When Roxanne had little cash, she'd fallen back on her photography of Pokemon and their trainers. It was easy money. Trainers seemed to really enjoy action shots of themselves or photos with their Pokemon, like family portraits. A couple hours of shooting pictures and Roxanne had enough money to last a couple weeks.
But she needed people to actually want action shots, and out here in Kansai, the focus was on the gym leaders. It'd been hard trying to convince people to purchase a photo shoot.
Roxanne got an idea and snapped her compact mirror shut. "C'mon, Punk!" she said, and Sableye followed her, the cardboard roll in its teeth.
The door opened and Officer Jenny stood there. "What are you doing? You must leave the premi-"
"Ah, quiet, you," Roxanne said nonchalantly. "I wasn't causing any trouble, just getting a little shut eye. That illegal now too?" Roxanne snapped before shoving her way past.
Roxanne rubbed her neck as she headed out of the center and went to Brooke Verity's lab. She had an idea she wanted to pass along.

"Now, say aah." Brooke instructed softly to the plump little grass type sitting on her desk, it opened its mouth wide and let out a small little cry of its name as Brooke examined the back of its throat. Sapler was going through his weekly health check ups with the Professor, the little Pokemon was in quiet the state when he first came in. Since then, the puppy had grown lovable and trusting; he had become quite the mascot for the lab! Ampharos and Sapler got along famously and it was interesting watching the two get on. Since being in the wild, Sapler had only really been in contact with Amphy and Embat. She'd need to start putting him with other Pokemon soon, to make sure that he could reintegrate easily. So the question was, why were they in Silverfern? So far away from Maple Town? Brooke wanted to show the other researchers at the facility Sapler and every one of them was baffled.
Whilst Brooke was doing the examination, Charizard and his new recruit Gabite were patrolling the facility's grounds. It was new territory for the old dragon, but he would always make sure that those inside were kept safe, especially with all the expensive equipment. Grumpig was back in Maple Town and it was a good opportunity for father and daughter to get some good earned time together. Charizard had caught the scent of Roxanne and Sableye on the wind and grunted with discontent, he remembered the bully Pokemon; attacking that trainer. He snorted, Gabite cocked her head curiously, her sense of smell not quite as keen nor did she understand her father's grudge against the Sableye.

Roxanne was hoping that Brooke was in the lab nearby, but if she wasn't, at least she could ask around to find the researcher.
In the distance, she spotted Charizard and a Gabite, and grew a tad bit more defensive. If this was Brooke's Charizard, she could just pass by. But if not, she'd have to be ready to battle.
The punk trainer let Sableye crawl up her back and hang off her shoulder, ready to pounce should it come to that. Then she stepped out, making sure Charizard noticed. (Which, in essence, was difficult with her practically rainbow hair.)

The orange dragon noticed and allowed a small snarl aimed at the Sableye that clung to its trainer, Gabite was still confused and simply didn't understand. Instead of further provocation, Charizard grumbled its discontent and turned away to head back in the direction the pair had come. Gabite was still standing there, still utterly clueless until she had realised that Charizard had wandered off, it let out a small cry and hurried to catch up with the dragon.
Once Roxanne would get to the lab, she'd find that it was much fancier than what Brooke had back in Maple Town. There were awards lining the walls of the reception area, potted plants, even soothing music. It certainly wouldn't feel like the entrance area of a lab, the only give away being the details of the awards and the faint scent of chemicals and other sciencey things from within the labs themselves. The receptionist would be at the desk, currently in a call.

Roxanne walked past Charizard towards the lab, Sableye making sure to pass along a funny face to the giant dragon-like Pokemon.
The punk trainer was indeed surprised at how the interior looked- it was certainly nothing like the Maple Town lab! A good whiff of the air gave away the smell of chemicals and equipment Roxanne never associated herself smart enough to use.
To this trainer, she was in a place way out of her realm.
She approached the receptionist's desk, and found herself back in annoyance. Grown-up smart people were always too busy to help anyone.
"Excuse me, real person right here, looking for Brooke," she said arrogantly, not even caring that she cut off the receptionist with an annoying ringing of her bell.

The receptionist glowered at Roxanne through her crescent shaped glasses, "I'll have to call you back." She said to the person on the phone, then placing down the receiver. The receptionist tucked away a stray blond lock that had been hanging over her glasses and then proceeded to press a finger down on another button on the phone as she lifted the receiver again, her steely eyes never left Roxanne's; never blinked either.
"Hello?" Brooke's voice sounded through the phone, the receptionist told her of the arrival of someone to see her. Making sure to use as many demeaning adjectives as she could to describe the miscreant that the receptionist saw in front of her. She hung up, then turned away from Roxanne, finding something far more interesting to do on her computer.
A few moments later, the sliding doors peeled open and Brooke walked through; seeming to look a bit confused. At her heel was Sapler, cheery as ever. "Oh! Roxanne. Welcome, I was wondering who Sheila meant. Please do come inside." The receptionist didn't look up as Brooke ushered Roxanne into a long corridor, the professor would lead her down it for some time, passing many doors before coming to the right one. Brooke took the access card from her neck and swiped it to allow them both into the lab; this single one alone was bigger than the laboratory at Maple Town - but this one was more cramped, with more machinery and more people. At least in Maple Town it was open plan and airy.
"So Roxanne, how can I help you today?"

((trolol taking Brooke's advice and sticking my nose in here - anyone else who was in the Spelunking thread feel free to come along as well))
Soren dismounted Aerodactyl and quickly withdrew him, hoping that he would still go unnoticed thanks to the fact that he was still wearing his exploration get up. He'd returned to the Maple Town lab only to find it deserted so he'd made a beeline for Silverfern and its massive research facility. He entered the building through the large glass doors and walked up to the reception desk, hoping he still looked somewhat respectable if a little scruffy. "Pardon me," he asked the receptionist with a small smile, "Would you be able to direct me to Brooke Verity? I've some urgent news for her."

The receptionist seemed to take much more kindly to Soren than she did to Roxanne, she smiled at him and nodded, "Of course Mr Forberg." She rang for Brooke again and the Professor was quick to come through the doors again to greet Soren. "Ah Soren. You have something to show me?" She asked, then gestured for him (and whoever else arrived) to follow her into the facility and into the room where she had left Roxanne. She apologised to the girl for leaving her for a moment and went to go and sit at the desk with Sapler sitting atop it. She stroked the little grass type and it yapped happily.

Ignus just followed Soren as his Hydreigon Marcus set down next to Soren's Aerodactyl and he disembarked, withdrawing the three-headed dragon Pokemon was he followed Soren inside, him looking around. It was the second time he had actually come to Silverfern City (the first time being the parade), and somehow he was used to the city setting a little more than the wilderness. He smiled and nodded to Brooke, the hem of his black trenchcoat a tad damp from the desert excursion as he removed his hat and followed Soren into the lab and leaned against the wall, nodding to Roxanne as he stood there, smiling at the Sapler being petted by Brooke.

Soren smiled and nodded at the Professor as he unclipped the Premier ball from his belt. "I don't think you've ever seen anything quite like this before Professor - I certainly haven't," he said as he enlarged the pink and white orb and clicked the release button. The snow white Milotic appeared in a flash of light, swinging her head back and forth confusedly for a few moments until she detected Soren's presence and promptly wrapped her coils around him, nuzzling his chest like she'd done in the cavern. Soren sighed and patted her head. "She's erm, a little fond of me it seems."
He watched Brooke curiously, eager to see what her reaction to the strange water serpent would be.

Brooke didn’t quite know what to expect when Soren pulled out the premium ball, even Sapler looked suspicious as the gym leader released what was inside. The moment that the albino Milotic appeared she was on her feet, snatching up a sweet pokeblock from the jar on her desk and approached the Pokémon carefully as it wrapped itself around Soren, “She’s certainly taken a liking to you.” Brooke would gently stroke the Pokémon’s head, her fingers barely grazing the skin but enough to get her attention.
If the Milotic looked, she smiled and would offer out the pokeblock. “Hey there sweet heart.” She said softly, in the tone she had used to soothe Sapler when she had first met the little grass type.

Milotic paused in her nuzzling when Brooke's fingers brushed against her smooth hide. She lifted her head, swinging it back and forth as she pinpointed the Professor's location, using her ears and nose moreso then her rose coloured eyes. She gave the pokeblock a suspicious sniff before carefully snatching it up from Brooke's hand. She munched on it and made an odd sort of crooning noise as she stretched out her neck and bumped her nose against Brooke's chest and shoulders like she'd done to Soren when they'd first encountered each other.
Soren chuckled and continued to pet Milotic's coils that were still wrapped around him. "Looks like the key to this girl's heart is through her stomach," he smiled. Milotic merely made another low crooning noise and started nuzzling the Professor to the extent where she threatened to wrap the rest of her coils around the petite brunette.

Ignus just watched as the albino Milotic was shown to Professor Verity, showing its affection first to Soren, and then to Brooke, the Explorer a little glad he was just along for the ride. Of course, he was down there as well, but he felt a little out of space and instead just walked around the Milotic and the two towards the Sapler, smiling at the green dog. "Hello there, little one. Remember me?" Of course the Sapler knew him as it barked in a greeting, Ignus chuckling and petting its head softly. If there was one thing he remembered about the Sapler, it was a stickler for attention, and he felt like it was up to him to give it attention since both of them could tell that the Professor was a tad busy with the Albino Milotic being affectionate.

She was a little startled by the Milotic cuddling up against her, "Oh bless, look at this." She giggled like a little girl, placing her hand over the Milotic's head and ran it up the horn and over the antennae. "She's strong. That's for certain." Brooke uttered, then looked between Soren and Ignus, "where did you find her?" She asked.
Sapler in the mean time was loving the attention from Ignus, it panted happily and leaned into his touch, demanding more scratches behind his leaf like ears.

"We found her down in the tunnels - there was a large cavern down there and a fresh water pool," Soren said, smiling at Brooke as she petted the albino affectionately. "I'm guessing she must've gotten washed down there as a Feebas - from what I understand albinos don't usually last very long in the wild."
Gradually Milotic loosened her coils enough for Soren to wriggle out of and he circled around to stand beside the Professor. "Gave me a right good smack when we first met didn't you girl?" he chuckled. He turned to Brooke with a half shrug as he explained. "I was checking out the pool and I must've spooked her - dragged me right in."
