With the Sawk taken care of, Kalan quickly netted him and returned him to his ball as well. "Three more." He said. "Are you two tired?" Both Pokémon shook their head and the poacher nodded. "All right. Go on and get the rest. If I were you, I'd target the Floatzel carrying the Cubchoo; he seems to be the fastest."
Shade and Banette gave an affirmative before racing after their targets. When the three Pokémon came into their view, Shade smirked. He knew this routine well. Hex, His telepathic voice reached out to his friend. Think you can handle a Curse?
The Banette grinned proudly and nodded, conjuring the attack quickly. Two shadowy nails formed, one pointed at Antoine, the other at the ghost Pokémon himself. At the same time, Shade readied a Psycho Cut, also aimed for the male Floatzel.

The Floatzel kept running at full speed, but suddenly he let out a screech of agony as the Curse nail shot into his back. He stumbled and fell, coughing and scrambling, trying his best to get back up. Sofie cried out in worry, grabbing Mei-Mei just before the Psycho Cut whipped by. Finally, Antoine succeeded in getting his footing, forcing himself up and trying to move again. But a few seconds later, another stabbing pain jolted through his body and he whimpered. Go, he seemed to tell his sibling, nudging her urgently. He wanted her to go get help, to keep going. The Curse that had hit him was taking a powerful toll; he wasn't used to being hit with something like it at all, and he was already exhausted from running.
Sofie whimpered, hesitating a long moment before she was roughly pushed by the other Floatzel, being shouted at in both fear and anger. Tears in her eyes, she finally turned and ran.
Antoine gritted his teeth and turned to face the ones that had been pursuing him and his friends, the deep purple glow of Toxic gathering in his paws.

Hex chortled in twisted delight when his move hit its mark, flinching sharply as the second nail drove into his own body before disappearing. Then he blinked, his eyes widening when he saw Shade's Psycho Cut miss, then the female Floatzel and the Cubchoo running, the male staying behind and turning to face the shadows they are hiding in. Looking beside him, he noticed Shade was already gone and grinned. Shadow Sneak time, he knew, simply moving out of the way, deeper into the darkness.
The Gallade emerged as a shadowy form behind Antoine after a moment, readying yet another Psycho Cut.

Antoine shivered, getting the pricking feeling that something was behind him, in a rush, he whirled, aiming to slam his Toxic-wielding paw into his attacker, just before the rapid psychic attack hit him, knocking down the portion of his endurance the Curse hadn't already taken care of. He collapsed in a heap, breathing shallowly and shivering.
Water. Sofie had to find water. If she could get to that, she and Mei-Mei would be safe. She was so much faster in the water than she was on land.

Shade grunted, wincing as he felt the poison seep into his system, but gritted his teeth to keep from making any real sound. He let out a sigh as the Floatzel fell.
"Great job, Shade." Kalan praised proudly as he approached, netting the Floatzel and returning him. "You're on fire today--Shade, are you all right?" When the Gallade nodded, the poacher crossed his arms. "You're lying..."
We don't have time right now, Master! I have a job to do. I can take an antidote later or eat a Pecha berry. He said sternly.
Kalan sighed. "All right, all right. You sure?" He nodded after Shade did. "Okay, go on..."
Shade took off immediately, realizing a moment later that his trainer had sent Demona with him, the sleek Houndoom keeping pace easily. As he neared his targets once more, he readied something different: Earthquake. He lunged forward suddenly, stomping down and sending the ground trembling and cracking in the same direction Sofie was running in.

Sofie's eyes widened in terror, Mei-Mei squirming in her arms and squealing with an equal amount of fear as the rumbling came at them rapidly. She sped up, but to no avail. Speed was nowhere near her best attribute. She cried out as the attack hit, holding the Cubchoo close to be sure that she didn't get hurt by the fall. Landing, she managed to somewhat roll, getting back on her feet and breaking into a run again. But then she stumbled. Her leg had been hurt by the impact. The Floatzel growled. No way was she going down, no way was she letting down her friends or Alexander. She would get away, and she would get her captured friends back.

Shade cursed under his breath. They were in the Southern Wilderness area and he could hear water nearby. If the Floatzel made it there, he would fail. Demona seemed to understand his frustration and spat an Incinerate at the final pair. He acted at the same time, hurling another Psycho Cut.

(He could head water. XD You mean hear? Rofl)
This time, Mei-Mei saw the attacks first, the young Pokémon crying out a warning. But then she squirmed out of Sofie's arms, jumping onto the ground and letting loose an Ice Beam to counteract the Incinerate. The Psycho Cut hit and it inflicted a lot of damage, but she held her ground, not letting the stream of ice stop. If she did, the Incinerate would hit and not hurt only her, but her friend as well. Sure, the practically-baby Cubchoo was usually very lax, but no one messed with her friends.
Sofie barked at Mei-Mei, finding herself in a complete dilemma. If she grabbed Mei-Mei, they both would be done for. But she couldn't just leave her...
Suddenly, the Cubchoo unleashed Icy Wind to hold back the fire, letting the Ice Beam fade. The small bear called back to Sofie, saying that the Floatzel was much faster and stronger than she was, that Sofie needed to go, that she would be okay. When Sofie refused, Mei-Mei shook her head, all the while smiling. It would be better that at least one of them escape and get help, otherwise, none of them would ever see Alexander again.
The Floatzel started crying now, but saw the logic. Apologizing and saying a sob-filled goodbye, she turned and ran again, ran for the rushing water she could hear.
Once Sofie was out of sight, the Cubchoo sighed. She wasn't able to hold it back any longer and let the Icy Wind fade.

As soon as Mei-Mei was down, Shade took off after the fleeing Floatzel. Just one more, he knew. One more, and the whole team would be his master's. One more down, and the job would be completed flawlessly. He threw several more Earthquakes, all in hopes of catching the Pokémon and taking her down. All the while, he stuck to the shadows, out of sight.

Sofie could see a drop-off up ahead, hear the water from the river. Just a few more feet...the Floatzle cried out as the rumbling seemed to come out of nowhere, ramming into her full force. She stumbled, but pushed herself back up, then getting hit several more times. There was only one fault: the earthquakes were heading in the same direction she was moving, essentially pushing her forward. Finally, reaching near the end of the drop-off, Sofie could hear the water, smell it. Taking a leap of faith, the Pokémon jumped over the edge. Thankfully, there really was water.

Shade shot forward as fast as he could, one final attempt in catching his target. He missed grabbing her, but he didn't waste time in hurling one last Psycho Cut as Sofie fell toward the river. Cursing under his breath again, he darted back toward where the poacher was. In a moment, he stopped in front of the man, working to catch his breath. Demona hung her head a little, her tail between her legs.
"You couldn't catch her?" Kalan asked. The Gallade shook his head and the poacher frowned. "It's all right." He said at last. "She didn't see you, right?"
To my knowledge, she didn't...
"Good. Then that means we can see her in public and she won't know. Okay? We have five out of six, and considering that these Pokémon are strong, even when they are taken by surprise and are fearful, we did a good job. Don't be too hard on yourself." With that said, Kalan returned Demona, having already done so to Hex, and jumped into a nearby tree. "Shade, eat a Pecha berry. I don't want you feeling bad or getting sick...We have tracking to do." The Gallade murmured an affirmative, starting a quick search for the berry.

Well those weren't natural earthquakes.
Terrance figured it was a battle, a very heated one at that. It wasn't until Tabia, his Arcanine beside him tensed, her fur stood on end and her lips skinned back into a snarl. Something was wrong, "Lead the way." Terrance instructed, pressing a hand into her shoulder and vaulting up onto her back. Although not the most comfortable, it would be a quick way to get to their destination. He loosed a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it into the air to release his Braviary Caradoc, the warrior bird had become a good companion. Tabia began to run as Terrance called up to the eagle, "Scout ahead! Something's wrong!"
The eagle screamed in response and with a powerful beat of his wings propelled himself forward and off ahead. It didn't take long before another cry signalled Tabia to make a turn towards the sound, the fu dog ran as fast as her legs would carry her, speeding through the undergrowth until skidding to an abrupt stop. Terrance didn't see immediately until he dismounted, seeing the unconscious form of Alexander on the ground. He cursed under his breath and jogged over, kneeling down and putting the other man into a recovery position so it would take any pressure off any possible injuries. "Sir, sir? Are you alright?" He said in a loud voice, to make sure that if he was awake he could hear him.
He turned to Tabia and Caradoc, who had landed in a nearby tree, "Go, see if anyone's still nearby." The large canine and eagle nodded and left, going in search of the cause of the earthquakes. Without Terrance's consent, Lisimba the Luxray appeared beside him with a low growl. He too knew something was wrong, he wanted to make sure his trainer would be safe whilst the others searched around.

Alexander slowly stirred at the voices, coming to with a soft groan. Carefully, he sat up, rubbing his head where the Gallade had hit him. "Wha...?" Then the realization hit him as he looked around in a near-panic. If his friends had escaped, they would have been with the stranger that woke him. "Evani?!" He called. "Antoine?! Sofie?! Mei-Mei?! Rem?!" No response from any of them. "Son of a..." His attention turned to the trainer. "I'm sorry, for saying this without much of a warning, but I'm going to need help. There was a poacher...I'm worried that it might have...My Pokemon...I told them to run..." The man bit his lip and shook his head. His poor friends...If they were hurt, he would never forgive himself. His head pounded and he groaned again, leaning back against the tree.
In the river, Sofie had dived as deep as she could, utterly exhausted. The Psycho Cut attack hadn't helped her condition at all. But there she remained, curled up at the bottom, too tired and scared to surface, fearing that her and her friends' attackers would find her.

It didn't take long for Shade to find what he was looking for, quacking grabbing a handful of the small berries off the bush and popping one into his mouth. He tensed when he heard the distant call of a Braviary, standing still as stone as he listened. Apparently, from the signaling tone, someone had found the captured Pokémon's trainer. He snorted and shook his head.
Master, please go back to the home. I will be there shortly. I'm going to make sure that our trail isn't obvious. Pickig up the faint psychological affirmative, he began walking, easily lapsing into the behavior a normal wild Pokémon would have. He looked around constantly, following where the sound had come from carefully. He was only thankful for being partially psychic; he could easily hide the faint scent of his trainer from his body, making himself seem like a normal Gallade. After several moments, he had finished his berries and crouched at the edge of the clearing Alexander and the newcomer were positioned. By instinct, he eyed the three Pokémon. Another potential catch? He wasn't sure, but he wouldn't say anything right now; he and Hex especially were tired from the chase.

Tabia and Caradoc would have been out of sight once the poacher had returned to the scene, the only pokemon of Terrance's would have been Lisimba. The Luxray looked uneasy, knowing the impending danger that made the static in his thick fur crackle and spark. Terrance looked over Alexander when he came around, he understood what was going on and didn't like it. It could be the poacher known to have a snag machine, or it could be a new one altogether. Which would be terrible; two poachers in Kansai? He wasn't doing his job properly.
"Listen to me now, did you see what they looked like? Where did they go?" He asked, staying crouched beside him so he could take a look where he was hit in the head. There was no blood at least, but he might be concussed. "Don't try to get up. My name is Terrance, I'm the Warden here. Please give me any information you can to find whoever did this, I can bring them in." He explained to Alexander. Lisimba's mane bristled, he could feel someone was close.
