Alexander slowly shook his head, shivering a little now as a shadow of grief threatened to fall over him. "I didn't see them. At all. Nor the Pokémon they used to attack me or my friends. My Floatzel Sofie smelled them nearby and...I can't run." He paused to motion at his right leg, which was being held straight and completely supported by the sturdy brace on it. "I got her and Antoine, her brother, my Cubchoo Mei-Mei, and my Froslass Evani out. My bodyguard as he likes to act, Rem, my Sawk, he was somewhere deeper in training, but I'm sure he would have tried to come to the rescue if he heard the commotion...I didn't let my Milotic Zen out...He's a healer, and he's sluggish on land. I...I think that it was a Pokémon that knocked me out. It was so fast..."
Another realization came to him as he felt his belt, feeling none of the five Pokéballs he had left on it. "Oh no...he must have taken my Pokéballs. If...if the poacher managed to knock out my friends, he could have returned them." He cursed under his breath. "There...won't be a good chance of getting them back...."

Shade stayed in the shadows like any other wild Pokémon usually would have, watching the events carefully. He smiled when the trainer he had knocked out admitted to not knowing what the poacher looked like or any of his Pokémon. They had been successful in that aspect, at least. The Gallade climbed up into a tree silently using Shadow Sneak before perching in a branch. He was just trying to get a better view. His eyes fell on the Luxray again, seeing its fur bristle. So it could tell he was here...He shrugged it off and continued his scouting. He knew by now that his trainer would be back at his home, waiting for his report. And a good one it would be...The Warden himself had arrived to help Alexander? This would be fun. Now he could inform Kalan who to look out for.

Terrance shook his head, "Don't say that, there's always a chance we can get them back." He ensured, grimacing at the brace on Alexander's leg. That could be a problem. Terrance brought his fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle, which was returned with a howl from not far away. "Tabia will carry you. We'll find whoever did this." A few moments later, the Arcanine crashed back into the clearing. If Alex would allow it, he would help him onto the back of the Arcanine, who had crouched down to make it easier.
Meanwhile, Lisimba still had a bad feeling about what was going on. He saw the silhouette of Caradoc briefly land in a tree not far off and knew he had found something. The Braviary had landed on a branch silently thanks to the wings of a hunting bird, it had perched literally behind the Gallade that looked down on the clearing. With a sudden piercing shriek to try and disorientate the psychic type the bird would launch itself forward and try to shove the Gallade out of the tree and into the clearing for all to see.

Alexander nodded slowly, swallowing hard. "If...any of them escaped...Both Sofie and Antoine are Floatzel; they would either still searching for help, or hiding in the closest river. They will only be in the river if...if all of the others are captured." He saw the Arcanine and got the hint, slowly and carefully shifting to be able to stand, using the tree for support. "I thank you for your help, sir...I...don't think I'd be able to find them or find who did this on my own."
At the sound of the Braviary's screech, the man turned his head toward it, his eyes filled with anxiety and worry.

Shade growled slightly when the Braviary snuck up on him, quickly grabbing a branch as the eagle charged him and swung to another, but he lost his footing and fell to the ground, managing to land on his feet nonetheless. He quickly dashed for another tree and leaped onto one of its branches, keeping in sight this time, showing he wasn't trying to hide; he was curious. He continued to watch the humans, but looked tense now, as if worried of being attacked and captured. He had practiced for a long time to put on a facade like his master, and had successfully perfected it after several years.

Caradoc had screeched a war cry, something Terrance had become more familiar with hearing. "It's alright," He told Alexander, "it's my Braviary. He's found something." His eyes scanned the trees and branches and saw a flash of white dart by. He knew the shape, a Gallade, having one himself he wouldn't be able to miss it. He narrowed his eyes, if a poacher was around any pokemon with sense would have fled a while ago; he doubted a psychic type like a Gallade would have missed that, no matter how spooked it may have looked. Those things were smart. "I smell a Raticate. Let's get moving. The sooner we find at least one of your pokemon the sooner we can find out what happened. Let's go to the river."
Once Alexander was mounted on Tabia's back, Lisimba would heel to Terrance's side and keep a wary eye on the undergrowth as they moved. Caradoc was nowhere to be seen, undoubtedly back in the skies to keep an eye on what was going on from above.

Seeing the Gallade so suddenly, Alexander looked a little startled, but then he gained a slightly puzzled look at the first of Terrance's words. "Well...Gallade are known for being guardians. Especially when they sense trouble; they aren't afraid of people like Ralts or some Kirlia. Maybe he's trying to see what's going on...?" His own words were halfway muttered to himself. But he nodded. "Yes...The sooner the better...I only fear the sort of condition we will find them in..."

Like what could be assumed from the fact that Gallade were still an evolved form of Ralts, Shade had managed to keep some fragments of the emotion sensory he had as a young Pokémon. Suspicion and worry and a few other things were what he could sense in total. But then he gave an inward smirk at Alexander's mumbles. Confused doubt, perhaps? After all, he knew that by stereotype, his kind, along with their Gardevoir counterparts, were known for protecting people and other Pokémon. This time, as he perched, he was keeping an eye out for that Braviary...
Then an old routine he and Kalan used to do to trick pursuers flashed through his mind. And he smirked. Standing, he jumped to a tree just a little closer to the humans, still looking on guard. Telepathy was something, to his knowledge, all psychics could do, so he didn't think his next move would be a huge surprise.
Focusing a little, he channeled the ability to sweep the area, reaching both trainers. I only managed to tell that there were at least two Pokémon attacking a group of three. The psychological voice whispered quietly. I sensed the fear and heard the chaos and came to make sure no one was hurt. I arrived in time to see two be captured and the third jump into the river. I tracked the trail of debris to see if there was anyone nearby. I found you. Every word was soft, just loud enough to be heard, but had no specific tone to it.

When it came to cases as serious as poachers, Terrance preferred to rely on his own senses and those of his Pokemon to work out what was going on. It was in his nature when it came to work, he took it too seriously to leave things entirely to chance. When the Gallade communicated with them, Terrance was all the more suspicious. To him, it was just too coincidental that a guardian pokemon like Gallade just happened to be wandering by, "Thought a tough cookie like a Gallade would have chipped in to help?" Terrance muttered, but with all intention of the psychic type hearing him. His tone was also ambiguous, meaning he didn't necessarily beleive that the Gallade had only just appeared in time. Psychics were too crafty for his liking.
Lisimba looked up at him, knowing that his trainer was about to decide the next move. "Our best bet is the river. If one of your pokemon is still safe there, we can see if they can lead us to anything of note."

Alexander shuddered when he heard the foreign voice in his mind. Then he shook his head. "Why didn't you help them?" He asked, looked up to where the Gallade was standing. "You might have been able to do something..." The man nodded at Terrance's words. "That is a good idea...We can only hope, yes?"

Shade grimaced slightly at their words, but shook his head. Yes, I would have "chipped in" and gotten myself caught. You would have had no help then. Gallade or not, I am not the strongest Pokémon in existence, and by Arceus, I don't plan to be. Those attacking Pokémon were strong, too strong for myself to take alone. The voice still held no real tone, but it hinted at sarcastic.

(Sorry for such a delay >< I've not been well this week!)
Terrance frowned and looked to Alexander, "We'll check the river." He said, as if confirming their destination. He still had no mind to trust the Gallade, "Help? Who said we were in need of your help, who said we wanted it?" Terrance queried, his tone unconcerned. "Look. I'm trying to do my job here. If you want to tag along be my guest, but I'm keeping my eye on you, my pokemon too." He warned the Gallade.
Not after long, they would arrive at the river. Terrance drew out a pokeball, it wasn't often that his Mantine made his team; but he was bloody glad he brought it today. "We need your help, find a pokemon who looks lost and frightened. They've been attacked, try to convince them to surface and come back to us." He tossed the pokeball to the river, the Mantine crying out in delight before plunging beneath the water.

(It's okay. I understand. Alexander chose not to say anything in response to the Gallade's telepathy, a little too worried and paranoid to have the desire to. He only nodded to Terrance's words. When they finally reached the river, he could only watch in anxiety and fear for what would happen next. Sofie noticed the shadow of the Mantine quickly and cringed, doing her best to stay motionless and unnoticeable. She was still shaking uncontrollably and had to clench her teeth to keep from whimpering. She couldn't tell if the water Pokemon was friend or foe, but she didn't want to take her chances; she had no strength left to run.

Shade had to check himself to keep from snorting. He had a low tolerance for any humans other than his trainer, and this ranger or whatever he was was getting on his nerves quickly. If he hadn't said anything, how in the name of Arceus would they know where to start, he wondered. Nonetheless, he simply shook his head. I meant no harm, human, excuse me for trying to offer some sort of assistance. Maybe next time I'll make sure to let the thing stay without hope of being found. This time the telepathy was so weak that it could barely be heard unless you were paying attention. But then he broke the psychological connection, simply following and observing as the small group moved toward the river.

The Mantine sent out a soothing echo through out the water, trying to assure the hiding pokemon that she was a friend. With a beat of her long wing like fins she propelled herself forward through the water, a friendly smile on her face that revealed genuine intentions of goodness to try and show the pokemon she was no enemy. It was clear that she wasn't entirely sure what she was looking for, a shoal of Magikarp swam by and Mantine looked uncertain; where was it?
Back up on the bank, Terrance could see Masika's back as the Pokemon searched the water. He looked back to Alexander, "With any luck, because Mantine doesn't really know who she's looking for, your pokemon could see that they're new, they dont' know what's happened and that help might have arrived. That's what I'm banking on anyway, Masika's probably the most motherly pokemon I have, she should give off the right vibes." He explained, but it was all being performed with the shred of hope that one of Alex's pokemon was down there.
