Sofie watched the Water-type carefully for a long moment, cautiously contemplating what was happening. Finally, and slowly at that, she lifted her head, carefully raising herself up partially with the little strength she had left. She called out to the Mantine relatively quietly, as even her voice felt weak. The Floatzel really wasn't sure who had sent the Pokémon to find her, but she only hoped that her trainer was with the stranger. She didn't think she could bear the feeling of being alone and confused much longer.
Alexander carefully slid off of the Arcanine's back, landing easily on his good leg. He carefully made his way to the water's edge and sat down, biting his lower lip as he, too, watched the Mantine. Please, he prayed, please let there be some way that at least one of them is down there...The man closed his eyes and bowed his head. Even if the Pokémon found one of his own, what of the others? He had to consciously control his breathing to make sure he didn't start shaking.

Shade could sense the strong emotions surrounding Alexander and almost rolled his eyes. For how strong his Pokémon were, in the Gallade's opinion, he was acting weak. Of course, the psychic-type had seen other trainers completely fall apart after experience like what had just happened. Thinking it wise to do so, Shade remained in his perch on a nearby tree. Then he thought of something.
The Floatzel had caught his master's scent at the very least. Maybe even his own. He tightened his grip on the branches in frustration. Looks like he would be putting more work into his psychic abilities to make sure he didn't get caught. Very carefully, he altered his own scent to be even more like a wild Pokémon, rather than one that was around people often.

The Mantine turned at the sound and looked around, seeing the injured Floatzel. The manta ray pokemon zipped over to it and tried to gesture its goodwill by offering the pokemon a ride on its back, as a part flying type; if Mantine propelled herself fast enough through the water she could glide out and towards Terrance and Alex.
Lisimba and Arcanine growled in unison, they knew that Gallade was still watching. The Gallade would find that Terrance's Braviary had found him again and had perched on the branch behind him, the bird crooned a threat; letting the psychic type know that he was watching - and so were the others.

Sofie couldn't help but shudder worriedly when the stranger came near, but she slowly got up and managed to get herself on the Mantine's back. Her leg hurt badly and her whole body ached from the chase and she felt sick. She murmured weakly in gratitude.
Alexander looked up a little at the growling, glancing over his shoulder at the tree where the Gallade's silhouette could be seen. But he said nothing, instead training his eyes on the water. When the shape of the Mantine disappeared even further beneath the waves, he bit his bottom lip in anticipation, wondering just what she had found.

The Mantine murmured back happily, pleased to be able to help. The water pokemon picked up speed as it swam down river, then propelled itself out of the water when it had gathered enough speed and then flew through the air and turned to go back towards the two trainers who waited for them.
Terrance grinned when Masika returned to them, landing softly on the grass and chirped her name happily. "Nicely done, take a break now." Terrance knelt down by the two, "I found your trainer, you're safe now, okay?" If Floatzel would allow it, Terrance would pick her up gently and hold her in his arms to try and make her feel secure. Mantine was returned to her pokeball.

Simply by instinct, the Floatzel flinched sharply when the man tried to pick her up, shivering even more. But when she heard a relieved call from a more than familiar voice, she brightened slightly, her eyes widening as Alexander pushed himself up and came over.
"Dearie, are you all right?" Alexander's voice was filled with worry and relief, and his face reflected that even more so when his friend didn't flinch when he went to gently pet her head. But he noticed her leg and her condition and he frowned deeply. "...The others...did they...?"
Sofie shook her head, but then whimpered at the thought of her friends and the last images in her head she could remember of them. Tears welled in her eyes and they spilled quickly as the Pokemon began wailing loudly.

Shade huffed finally, moving to lounge more than perch on his branch. The Floatzel was recovered and he now knew what her later weaknesses would be. The Gallade wouldn't be surprised if the leg injury he had caused would have long-lasting effects. He glanced at the Braviary that was watching him, but gave it more of a relaxed, uncaring expression. It was only a matter of time before his master got what he wanted, anyway. He wasn't worried.

(Moved the thread to canon!)
When the pokemon began to cry Terrance looked to Lisimba for some help, the electric type jumped up to place his fore paws on his backpack; using his mouth to unfasten the first pocket and take out a small bag full of sweet pokeblock. The Luxray handed it to Terrance and pulled on the drawstring and offered it to the Floatzel, "Ssh, it's alright. We'll find your friends, we'll find the poacher. Don't worry. Have some of these, they'll make you feel a bit better. Lisimba, can you find a Sitrus Berry please?" The Luxray mrowed and disappeared into the undergrowth.
Terrance looked at Alexander. "Let's get your Floatzel feeling a bit better, then we can get her to help us find the others."

It simply broke Alexander's heart hearing the distressed sounds coming from his closest companion. He kept a hand on one of her front paws, holding it gently to make sure at the very least she knew he wasn't going anywhere. He nodded at Terrance's words, but kept his eyes on his friend.
Sofie continued to cry, but quieted a little after a long moment. When she was offered the food, she shook her head, turning it away from the blocks. She felt too sick to want anything at the moment. Her tears fell silently now, but she still quivered in anxiety.

Terrance frowned, the poor thing was so upset. Thankfully a few moments later Lisimba returned with a large leaf cradling a few berries hanging from his mouth, "Ah! Well done you. Here now, I know you don't want the pokeblock but the berries will help get your strength back, you've gotta eat them or you'll only feel worse." He explained to the Floatzel, offering her one of the berries.

The Floatzel whimpered softly, lifting her head slightly and nuzzling her trainer's hand. But she seemed to understand what the man said, looking at the berry a moment before moving her head and gently taking the berry between her teeth.
Alexander smiled weakly in a bit of hope when he saw her finally eat something. "We will find them." He assured her, his voice sounding almost confident despite his own growing worries. "Don't worry, okay? We'll get your brother and all of the others back." He looked to the ranger. "Thank you so much for your help. I don't think I ever would have found her by myself in time."

Growing bored, Shade finally stood on the branch and jumped down, landing on the earth below with a soft thud. He looked on a moment longer, memorizing a few things before he turned and began walking away into the forest.
