(idk who should be starting, so I'll make this post and if someone else wants to add or anything just say the word >< )
The field had been made clear of the previous battle, and a new one was beginning to emerge.
Nyght stood and watched from his side of the arena and saw the new field was quite a unique one.
On Tamsin's side, great mountainous boulders stood tall, creating a rocky path and many different ways to hide and attack from. On his side, a burnt forest stood in ashy splendor, though it made Nyght a little concerned. Both sides would have to be careful of falling stone or crumbling woods, but all in all it seemed stable, if not artistic.
An announcer spoke up now. "The new field is a mixture of Mountain and Burnt Forest! Two different kinds for two very different trainers! On the first side, the Attack Gym Leader and Titan Badge bearer, Nyght Zasq!"
Nyght stepped out now, standing tall on his side of the field. Though his demeanor was still as elusive and calm as ever, inside he was trembling with excitement.
The announcer spoke up again. "And on the other side, the Defense Gym Leader and Aspis Badge bearer, Tamsin Shale!"

Seth was totally surprised at the idea of Jack winning a race to earn his badge, but it made sense, considering it was the Speed Gym Leader.
"Dude I am so jealous..." he almost growled, obviously very determined to catch up to Jack. He felt his face grow hot when he realized Evie had touched his hand.
He turned to look at her but soon saw what had caught her attention- a Chandelure on a lead. When Jack asked for his camera again Seth gave it to him quickly, a huge grin on his face. It was really quite a sight.
They were soon met by a new familiar face- Tobias had come by and was speaking to Evie. Seth had to admit Tobias was one heck of a strong trainer.
"Good job man!" Seth said when he and Evie had had a small break in conversation. "I'll be seeing you in battle sometime!"
The field then began to change and Seth settled back in his seat. The first Gym Leader had stepped out, the rather unknown Nyght Zasq emerging onto the field. Seth watched curiously, trying to scope out this new Gym Leader.
Tamsin's name was soon announced and Seth began cheering. "Go Tamsin! You got this!"

Tamsin smiled, stepping up to the mountainous half of the arena. It was one of the largest spaces she'd battle on, and it looked amazing. For the most part the rocks were low, but a few stood as tall as she did. It would be an excellent place to defend from. Looking around the arena, she exhaled heavily, trying to calm down. It was a bit intense.
"Ok, Nyght." She yelled, letting all of her weight fall on her back foot and raising her arms in a defensive manner, like she was waiting for an attack. "Gimme your best shot."
Reaching into her satchel Tamsin drew her first Pokeball, arcing it through the air and onto the battlefield. Ruby light gleamed brightly. "Cloyster, you're up first!"

Nyght let a grin slide acorss his face as Tamsin sent out her first Pokemon. In front of him, a Cloyster appeared from the red beam of energy.
That was perfect for a defensive type. Nyght figured he should show his offensive type first.
He reached into his belt and tossed a Pokeball of his own. "Hitmonchan, you're up!"
In a ruby beam Hitmonchan appeared, taking a few punches for the fun of it into the air.

A Hitmonchan? Bring it.
"You really think you can punch your way through Cloyster's shell?" Tamsin chuckled, before swinging her arm out and pointing at her Pokemon. "Iron Defense!"
Cloyster grinned menacingly before clamping her shell closed, a gleam of energy outlining her against the boulders. Dropping like a stone, Cloyster encased herself half in the ground, so just the top of her shell was visible.
"Come at me bro." Tamsin smiled provocatively.

Soren watched both trainers, nodding with approval as they demonstrated their specialties in their first moves. Tamsin's last quip was quite amusing and he felt himself smile. This would be a fun battle indeed.
"Wow how is Nyght going to get through that?" Sarra gasped. Soren grinned and ruffled his daughter's hair affectionately.
"Oh he has his ways." he chuckled. "Just watch."

Nyght stifled a grin at Tamsin's taunt, and yelled out "Hitmonchan! Drain Punch!"
The fighting Pokemon then leapt through the burnt forest and into the rocky terrain, notably fast and full of energy. With a giant leap of faith and a loud yell, Hitmonchan made the move to land a huge fist onto the solid Pokemon and drain some of its energy.
Nyght watched. "You got this..."

"Are all pirates like this?"
Even though he was being mocked, Arthur still swelled with pride at the acknowledgement of being called a pirate. Finally, someone noticed his efforts, usually other people just blatantly ignored him.
"Arr, ye be correct in your assumption of pirates, we be a fine race of men." he gloated with a grin, although it soon morphed into a look of realisation. "Er, not that there be un-fine women pirates! There be plentiful amounts of them too!" He quickly corrected, waving his arms in front of himself in a show of peace. Didn't want to seem sexist or anything. Although he didn't see many women pirates. Or other pirates in general. He was so alone...

"Er, not that there be un-fine women pirates! There be plentiful amounts of them too!"
Zeke couldn't help but be amused by this man, the idea that he could sail the seven seas and intimidate. That's the idea of pirates he'd always had in his head, but here was a direct contradiction. And he was obviously quite happy about being called a pirate too. How very strange.
He leaned forward, surveying Arthur and his strangely dejected expression by the end of his speech. Well, might as well go for it. "Think I could be a pirate?" Zeke grinned widely, thinking about how he'd look with a cutlass and all the pirate shenanigans he could get into. That'd be a fun life.

"Think i could be a pirate?"
Childish glee lit up on Arthur's face at the question, maybe he could take on an apprentice! He forced a stern look at the expectant look on the mans face. Trying to look nonchalant, Arthur shrugged and turned to the side slightly.
"I'm not sure lad." He started "It takes a lot of time and training to become a scavenger of the seas." He paused and stroked his chin in thought "Although if ye did make it, we could repopulate the pirate race!" He wondered out loud, looking curiously at the other. Then he paled as he realised what he had said.
That did not come out right.

"Although if ye did make it, we could repopulate the pirate race!" Zeke paused, before bursting into laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of that statement. Obviously he wasn't the best pirate on the block. That, or he was a couple of shipmates short of a crew. Esme bobbed over his head, managing to appear slightly amused as she floated.
"You do, uh, realise that that isn't biologically possible, right?" Zeke raised an eyebrow, slowly grinning wider. "But what, are you really one to rush in that fast? Here we are, barely met, and you're already asking me to..." He couldn't help but snigger, barely managing to get his words out, "... repopulate... the 'pirate race' with you." At this point, Zeke gave in to the absolute hilarity of it all, doubled over in his chair.

Arthur was horrified by what had just happened. The worst thing was that there was no possible way he could recover his dignity from that last statement. "NO, that is not what I meant at all!" He tried to explain, but the man was laughing way too much to listen to him. "Shut up!" He did not. "Stop laughing at me!" Again, he did not.
Honestly, as unmanly as it was, Arthur was close to crying out of humiliation. Why could he never carry out a conversation without saying something completely stupid? By this point even his Chatot, Elisa, had flown of his shoulder and was perched on a nearby chair, a look in her eyes that said 'You disgust me.'
Arthur just decides to give up and sit in the empty chair next to the man having a good laugh at his expense. He crossed his arms and looked off to the side whilst pouting and sniffling a few times.
"It was an honest mistake..." He muttered, still avoiding eye contact.

It took a while for Zeke's giggles to subside, a smile still on his face as he looked at Arthur. He should probably stop, anyway, Arthur looked a bit distraught by all this. Zeke reached a hand out, patting him on the head. Really, he was going to have to stick around this guy, if these were his pearls of wisdom.
"Heeey, it's okay, really. Sorta. Okay, not really, you should probably use that brain-to-mouth filter most people have. But still! Could've been worse! … I think?" Zeke couldn't help but keep patting Arthur's head as he spoke. He deserved it. He'd never met someone quite so, well… Arthur, in such a short amount of time. He hoped this wasn't what all the citizens of Kansai were like.
"… somehow, that could have been worse. Somehow."

Although he would never openly say it, the stranger consoling him was more comforting than it should be. Even his pathetic attempts to soothe him with his babbling was, in some way, helping. What can he say, he's an emotional guy! And as ashamed as he is to say it, it's not often he receives human physical contact.
Because of that, he could't help nuzzling slightly into the others hand, before he caught himself and slapped the hand on his head away.
"What the hell is the matter with you? You don't just go around harassing people like that!" Arthur would not acknowledge the dark blush on his cheeks. "Who do you think you are anyway?" He fumed, by this point he had backed away from the other, regaining his personal bubble. How had this escalated so quickly? It was strange but he felt like he's known this man for years, he was that comfortable around him. Even if he did cause theses unnecessary feelings, he sort of liked him.

Zeke smiled as Arthur let himself be patted, stroking through his hair slightly. And possibly plotting how to steal that hat, because damn. But that wasn't the point, he could get on that later. That hat, though. Gotta get that hat somehow.
At Arthur's slap, Zeke pulled his hand away hurriedly, looking confused. What'd he done now? He was just being nice.
He didn't know how to respond, opening and closing his mouth, then closing it properly because no one wants to resemble a Magikarp. Really. This wasn't fair, was it? He was only trying to be nice...
"... I haven't even done anything! I- what? You were the one who just- I don't even get it! How am I harassing you!?"
