Zeke stepped back, letting the guys argue it out between them. There really wasn't much he could do, and this yelling was just distracting them from the general "there is a guy stealing Pokemon aaah" situation. He smiled slightly at Evie's reassurance, nodding. "Yeah, I know, thanks. It's cool." As the shouting simmered down, Zeke surveyed the group, frowning slowly.
"Sorry, guys, but you need to listen. There's no point arguing, really it's just hindering things." Zeke pointed his thumb at Arthur. "I know he's a moron, but yelling and hitting and all that probably isn't helping anyone except to make you feel slightly better, he's not that bad. You need to put your Pokemon away, you especially Lorna. You have a dragon of all things, and a really fancy one at that, it's adorable… anyway, look, if they're going to take anything, a Dragonite's going to be high on the list. We need to keep going and hope we find something. I can't tell if what they're using works at a short-range, so if it comes down to it we'll need a flying Pokemon to survey the area. Right now, we can't risk that. So will you pleeeeease liiiiiisten to meeeee!" Zeke ran his hand through his hair, trying to calm down and think logically about the situation. Problem was, that had never been his strong point. He took off, following after William, trusting his tracking instinct by far over his own.
"Please, we can't let this keep happening."

Almost as if on cue, a blood chilling cackle emanated from the trees, as if it was coming from all around the group. Jason was beginning to enjoy this. He slunk through the trees above homing in on his target. He looked down and grinned an Ultra Ball materialised in his hand the slight whirr of the Snag Machine charging covered by the people talking bellow. He smiled darkly once more as he threw the ball, hitting the Dragonite in the top of the head, the claw like light appearing once more and capturing the Dragon pokemon before returning to him. He laughed once more before retreating into the darkness once more. They were going to try and find his tower, this was becoming to easy...

Lorna took a deep breath - this is why she worked alone and away from people - honestly pokemon were a hell of a lot easier to deal with. She did, however nod at Zeke's words. The boy had a point (and really he was one of the few she could tolerate right now), Dragonites weren't something you stumbled across all that often. She enlarged her pokeball and was just about to recall him when a cold laugh eminated from the trees and an ultra ball opened just above her beloved dragon's head. Dragonite turned and let out a roar but it was cut off as he disappeared in a flash of light.
Lorna stood there - Dragonite's original pokeball still clutched in her hand ready to return him. It took a few moments for the whole thing to sink in but when it did...
The biologist hunched her shoulders and carefully clipped the empty pokeball onto her belt. She turned sharply on her heel and walked over to William. There was no point in trying to catch someone they couldn't see - the best thing would be to keep moving and hopefully get their quarry to come out and greet them face to face. "Come on," she murmured, "We're going to that tower - it's past midday, the sun is going down, just make sure it stays to your left and we'll keep moving north."
Hellfire didn't even come close to describing the inferno that blazed in the depths of her eyes.

As Lorna walked away, Arthur found it appropriate to shout triumphantly, "Yeah, walk away bitch, walk away!" Oh yeah, he totally won this round. It kind of made him feel good that so many people were defending him, even if at the same time they were insulting him. Oh well, swings and roundabouts.
He went to tell his only friend that he had totally owned that blaggard, but he noticed the sad look on Zeke's face after his little 'put your bloody pokémon away' speech. He wasn't going to lie and pretend he cared for the lost Chandelure, but he would admit that he cared for Zeke. Just a little bit. A teeny tiny bit. So with that in mind, he thought of ways to cheer him up. Arthur just didn't like Zeke being all serious. It was a little unnerving. He walked up next to Zeke and said, "Hey, wanna know why I'm so bad at the alphabet?" At Zeke's confused look he continued, "Because me Dad told me there were seven c's!"
Ok, he never said he was good at jokes.
He did gain an enormous amount of satisfaction when he saw that the same light that had taken Esme, had also taken Lorna's Dragonite, and before he could stop himself he was pointing to Lorna and barked, "HA! The tides are turning on you now!"
Karma is just like the Sea, a cruel mistress.

Evie stepped back when Zeke assured her, she smiled and nodded; glad he was acting maturely about the situation. She turned, Athena and George’s pokeballs in either hand and both were returned to safety – Zeke was right, they couldn’t be taken if they were safely tucked away. Once back in her bag, the group reformed and moved onward; Evie skipping forward a bit to speak to William. “One person or more do you think?” She asked, might as well see if he had any idea – obviously George wasn’t going to be scouting for them now, but having just had Chandelure snatched out of thin air implied someone was very much nearby.
She turned her head to see how the others were doing, to suddenly find that Dragonite was taken as well! Evie gawked and stopped for a moment, waiting for Lorna’s reaction. She was surprised there was no outburst, but her expression said it all. Tactfully, Evie decided to walk behind Lorna from now on. It’d probably be safer with her bulldozing forward.
“ HA! The tides are turning on you now!" Evie turned and glared at Arthur so hard it probably made him infertile.

William did not reply for a moment as the two girls came to walk next to him. He needed to think, he couldn't do it with everyone making noise. He lifted his hand and squeezed his temples with his thumb and forefinger in a vain attempt to block out the sound. He looked over to Evie as she spoke having worked out the answer moments before. "Only one guy so far. He seems to be in command of a Snag Machine, I have heard of these before but I thought they were only legend. The chances of them having more than one are slim to none." He looked up to the sky as if the heat would help block out the others. "But there could be more of them further up. Only time will tell."
He looked over to Lorna who had an expression as black as thunder. "You ok...?" He asked, knowing the answer but feeling he needed to say something.

Zeke lifted his head as Arthur talked to him, tilting his head slightly at the question. "Because me Dad told me there were seven c's!" He couldn't help it, it was a terrible joke but oh, he needed a laugh. Once he started he couldn't stop, it was ridiculously bad but he was laughing so loudly. He rested a hand on Arthur's shoulder to keep himself up as he almost doubled over in hysterics. It took him a bit to calm down. Ah, that was terrible. Beautiful, though.
He froze at Dragonite's disappearance, scanning the area but still not seeing anyone. This wasn't fair, they were at a ridiculous disadvantage and everything was going wrong. Zeke didn't really know what to say to comfort Lorna, letting her take the lead easily. They'd have to fix this, and fast. Instead, he chose to smack Arthur lightly over the head for his comment. Really, he had no grasp of the situation. "You can't keep… laughing, like that, Arthur. You don't know what it's like, we need to find them fast, and your goading isn't… isn't helpful. At all." Still, he gave him a hesitant smile. "I liked the joke, even though it was… really, really awful. Worst joke I think I've ever heard."

Lumine was standing amidst chaos. First Zeke's Chandelure vanished, then Lorna's Dragonite. She knew she had to think fast, in order for her Pokemon to be safe. Quickly, she got off Ivan's back, the Unfezant looking at her curiously. "Sorry about this, Ivan, but I can't risk you getting captured. Return." She took out Ivan's Pokeball, and in a flash of red light, had the Unfezant return, then quickly stowed the pokeball away, wondering what had happened. Carefully, she looked over at Lorna, and was surprised to see her eyes flaring with rage. She had never seen the biologist flare with so much anger, but then again one of her Pokemon was stolen. She began looking around after hearing some sort of cackling noise. Darn it...that poacher's being very over confident!
Upon hearing Arthur's little remark and horrible joke, Lumine couldn't help but sigh and shake her head. And Lorna says that Ignus needs to grow up...that person doesn't even know at all how dangerous of a situation we're in! She then looked over at Arthur, shooting him a very dangerous glare, then turned back forward, following Lorna and Evie.
Upon hearing William's talk of the equipment the poacher has, Lumine though carefully. A Snag Machine...she had heard of them, but never seen one before. However, with the disappearance of two Pokemon from their group, Lumine didn't want to take any chances, especially with her Pokemon. She continued to walk silently, looking around carefully for any signs of movement from the area around them.

Lorna gritted her teeth, barely resisting the urge to turn around and punch Arthur square in the face - she did have a nasty right hook, or so one of her ex-boyfriends had told her.
The laughter was still coming from the trees - the bastard was mocking them, but hopefully that would mean he was overconfident. The biologist ignored William's question, just for fear of snapping at him and pressed deeper into the foliage, looking for any sign of their quarry. Her sharp eyes picked out a splash of colour amidst the greens and browns of the trees. There a rather thick tree limb had been cracked and there was a small scrap of fabric lodged in the wood, stuck fast by the sticky sap. Lorna reached down and pulled out a pocket knife from the leather sheath on her belt, deftly flipping the five inch blade out and using it to lift the torn cloth from the sap and wood. "Look at this," she said, holding the blade tip and the fabric out towards the others. "This was just done, there's still sap leeching out of that branch and it hasn't even begun to harden, We're on the right track."
She wiped the blade clean on her pants and closed it with a soft snick, placing it back into the leather case. "Come on, we'll get him."

William smiled inwardly as Lorna showed them the cloth, she was good at this. He looked up to the sky as they walked, seeing how low the sun was getting. He looked back to the rest of the group, hoping they had packed enough suplies for more than one day. He looked back to Lorna and touched her shoulder lightly. "We need to stop and set camp soon while we still have light, we will get lost to easily in the darkness." Without being able to use there pokemon to help, they would not be able to continue tonight. He sighed to himself as he looked around as they walked, trying to find a good place to stop and make camp.

Arthur noticed that silent girl, erm, Luminia? Luminia, giving him an odd look, almost like she was trying to glower at him, even if it was a pathetic attempt. "What, you want some too bitch?" He called out to her, and as she turned away he remarked, "Yeah, that's what I thought." Everyone around here was all talk and no action, it was getting kind of dull. And now people were talking again instead of actually doing anything. They keep harping on about catching this poacher guy, yet none of them are willing to act. It was starting to piss Arthur off.
"We need to stop and set camp soon while we still have light, we will get lost too easily in the darkness." Oh great, that William guy had started again, giving orders like he was their leader. Arthur doesn't like people bossing him about, that's one of the reasons he became a pirate, to live a life free of rules and to only ever rely on one man, himself, of course. So he tends to be quite difficult when people try to tell him what to do. "Ye really need to make up yer minds, y'know that?" He started, placing his hands on his hips and shaking his head. "First you say how the poacher is a top priority, then you wanna take a little nap. What's wrong William, is it past your bedtime?" He spoke in a patronising tone as he started to walk towards the younger male. "Or is it..." He said thoughtfully, placing his hand under his chin in a thinking position. "That you are just scared of the dark?" He started cackling at his own thought process. "What's wrong? Didn't bring a nightlight?" At this he burst out laughing at the look on William's face and his own joke. He cracked himself up sometimes. Actually, he wouldn't be surprised if this guy did sleep with a nightlight, he looked too young to be considered an adult.
Way too young to be bossing Arthur about anyways.

Lorna nodded at William's suggestion at camp and then turned to face Arthur, nose wrinkled in a snarl. "How daft are you!? Do you know how many predetory nocturnal species are out in this jungle - not to mention the ghost-types!" she growled. "We can't navigate properly without the sun for bearings and the canopy is too thick to go by the stars - right here seems fine William, keep everyone together for me."That said she dropped her satchel (she'd retrieved it after Dragonite had vanished) and cleared away a patch of fallen leaves and loam, leaving bare ground. She scrounged up a few stones and arranged them in a rough circle before rummaging through her bag and retrieving a small axe. She removed the protective vinyl covering she'd placed over the blade and walked over to a toppled tree. She'd been living in the wilds so long now setting up makeshift camps like this was second nature to her. She hacked off a few sizable limbs, breaking them up to make splits before chopping up the trunk into more sizable logs that would burn through the night. She embedded the axe into the remains of the log and carried her armload of wood over to the pit. She went back towards the trees for a moment to pluck some hanging moss from the trees, placing it into the fire pit. " I know a fire seems silly in all this heat but it'll keep the wild pokemon away and scare off the bugs."She whipped out her knife again and used it to scrape some wood shavings onto the bundle of moss and added a few twigs and slivers of bark. Rummaging in her bag again she produced a stick of flint and with a few strikes of her knife she had her little bundle of kindling aflame. Carefully she added more sizable splits until there was a good bed of embers then she added a larger piece of wood. "There, we keep adding a few junks to that and it'll burn through the night." she said "Some of those branches are still green, it'll give off a bit of smoke but it'll repel the insects."With that she retrieved her axe before she planted herself down next to the fire and shot Arthur a cool glance over the dancing flames, pointing at him with her knife "Just remember pirate - this bitch knows how to survive out here - but you're welcome to go out stumbling in the dark, maybe you'll find a nice Dusclops to curl up with for the night."((I love being a hick ))

William was about to snap at the pirate but Lorna beat him to it. He decided just to leave her to it as he started to set up a shelter as Lorna made the fire, chuckling under his breath at the thought of Arthur cuddling up to a Dusclops. He reached into his pack and removed a large piece of tarpaulin along with several pieces of rope. He set to work and soon had a tent like structure set up with enough room to cover two people for the night.
He returned to the fire after finishing and went up behind Arthur and spoke to him, quiet enough so that only he could her. "This place is crawling with bug and ghost type pokemon... And you were worried about my fears... Hope you brought shelter Commodore, sleep well..." And with that he moved to the other side of the fire to sit next to Lorna.

Lumine just ignored the pirate, seeing as how any words spoken to him would just go one ear and out the other. She stood there as Lorna set up the fire, then sat down and watched the flames flicker. She then set her backpack down behind her and then looked up at the stars, hearing what Lorna said about Ghost-types. She wasn't particularly afraid of the Ghost-types, since she had a Misdreavus with her from Johto, and she also took note of Arthur's fear of Zeke's Chandelure before it got snatched, smiling silently at the thought of the Dusclops. But Lorna had a point. Stumbling around in the dark would make them easier prey for the poacher, and with the Snag Machine possibility, Lumine still didn't want to take any chances.
She just sat there staring at the fire silently, thinking quietly to herself. Perhaps I should bring up that we need to have at least one person stay up for night watch, just in case the poacher tries to take our Pokemon while we're asleep...

"Hope you brought shelter, Commodore. Sleep well…"
Arthur heard this and promptly replied "If I get lonely I'll just snuggle up to you shall I, Willy-bear?" Although William tried to ignore that, Arthur could see him blush slightly, probably from anger. But it is Arthur, so Potts is probably imagining them, in a small tent, in the middle of nowhere, spooning. Pervert. He then raised his voice higher, aiming his speech to Lorna, "I would take a Dusclops over you any day, wench."
Arthur was going to suggest that, since he was pirate (they seem to forget that), he had a compass, he also had good bearings from the star constellations, so really they could've kept going, but no. If they're going to be mean and tease him about his teeny tiny phobia of ghosts, then they can suffer. He did also have a Lanturn, for the sole purpose of being able to see at night, it had a light on it's head for Arceus's sake! But no, everyone underestimates him. He wasn't that scared of bugs anyway, just the bitey/pinchy ones. On a ship there aren't many bugs, so he never really got used to them. That and they were really ugly. Anyway.
Everyone was settling down for their little naptimes, so Arthur thought it was the perfect time to finish some old business. He nudged Zeke hard in the chest, snapping him out of the arduous process that was, staring into oblivion. When he had gained the other's attention he said. "Let's go for a walk, c'mon."
He did say he would talk about that whole 'incident' later, and now was the time.
