((Alright will do)) Soren winced as he dropped down to one knee, smothering his coughs. The damp hay and straw many of the bird pokemon used to help build their nests was causing a thick heavy smoke and it was becoming nigh on impossible to see or breathe. Swellow had perched onto his shoulder and was refusing to leave his side, trying to direct him towards the exit. The cries of the frightened pokemon had lessened now to where it could barely be heard over the roar of the spreading fire, hopefully indicating that most, if not all of them had made it out safely or would be shortly thanks to the efforts of his Aerodactyl and Fearow. The gym leader flinched when something scaly brushed against his hand and he looked up to see a familiar looking Gabite tugging on his coat sleeve with a concerned expression. It didn't take him long to realize why the dragon-type had been sent in (nor who its owner was) and Soren staggered back onto his feet. "Is - everyone out?" he wheezed. The reptile bobbed her head and tugged on his sleeve again. Soren looked up and called out. "Alexander, Isis, get yourselves out of here!"Answering shrieks and roars echoed through the burning building and Gabite, clearly impatient with the slowness of Soren, started pulling him towards the exit by his uninjured arm. A blazing beam fell in front of them, momentarily blocking the door but it was made short work of by a few powerful blows from Brooke's Gabite. The dragon tossed aside the shattered pieces of smoldering wood and finally managed to lead Soren outside. The gym leader promptly sat down on the rain soaked grass, coughing violently to the point where he fell onto his side. Gabite let out a crooning sort of growl and patted his uninjured shoulder comfortingly. He managed to roll over and pat her scaly head with a grateful smile. "Thank you for the help," he said hoarsely. "Much appreciated."Gabite perked up and chirped with a pleased expression as she waved a clawed hand to Ignus to signal that it was safe to start dousing the flames. Soren stayed laying on his back, trying to regulate his breathing and resisting the urge to cough in the cold night air whilst Swellow nuzzled his face, chirping softly. ((Alright Ignus I think its alright for you to start putting it out, try to make it last for a post or two though this is quite fun))

Ignus waited anxiously until he saw the Gabite coming out with a weary Soren, hearing its chirp as the signal, nodding and turning to Sharpedo and Baron. "Alright you two. Start dousing the flames, pronto." The Blastoise nodded and looked at Brooke's Sharpedo, who nodded and the two began dousing the flames little by little, Sharpedo blasting a jet of water from its mouth, Baron shooting water from his two shoulder cannons. Meanwhile, Ignus kneeled down in front of Soren making sure he was alright, nodding to Gabite as he watched the two Water Pokemon start to douse the flames.

Sarra was settled and Brooke wasted no time in rushing down and outside, managing to avoid Nathaniel along the way so not to rouse his suspicions. The Professor ran through the wet grass, cursing herself for wearing heeled boots as they sunk into the wet soil beneath her feet. She saw ahead of her the blazing flames beginning to dwindle by the jets of water that came from the Blastoise and her Sharpedo, she heaved a massive sigh of relief when she saw Gabite with Soren - but realised quickly he wasn't in such a good state. She groaned to herself as she rushed over, kneeling down behind Soren and gently told Soren's Swellow to back up so she could see to him.
Before getting to Soren, she'd pause briefly to pat Ignus on the shoulder, "Nicely done, keep it up." She was confident he had the flames handled, now she needed to attend to their other casualty, "You went in there, didn't you?" Brooke accused angrily, not stopping to allow him to answer "you're a bloody idiot! You know that? Our Pokemon could have handled it, they can put up with that environment and help the ones who can't, last time I checked you don't smoke." She was furious with him, but he seemed to be alright, but Brooke never left anything to chance, "We need to get you to the hospital, you need oxygen to clear out the smoke you inhaled."

Soren was just starting to drift off into that lovely state of half-consciousness, content that he knew Ignus had the fire handled, when a sharp voice brought him hurtling back to reality. His pale eyes fluttered open and he found himself staring into Brooke's angry cobalt ones as she knelt behind him leaned over him berating him soundly. He gritted his teeth as he pushed himself up into a sitting position, carefully minding his dislocated shoulder - the less injuries she knew about the better. "I'm fine," he said, though the hoarseness in his voice threatened to betray him. Truth be told he was terribly dizzy and concentrating all his energy on remaining coherent to put her at ease, but it was hard going. "But you're getting soaked."
Wilhelmina shook her head and covered it with a wing as Soren managed to work off his greatcoat (doing his best to keep the pain from showing as he did so) and draped the large outer coat around her shoulders. "There, much better," he said softly, hoping somewhere in his semi-coherent mind that the gesture would throw her off enough that she'd stop chewing him out for a few moments...that and he was genuinely concerned. He sighed deeply and took her hand. "I'm fine Brooke, I needed to make sure everyone got out...pokemon couldn't save Elizabeth in time, I needed to check myself, just me - I didn't want to see anyone harmed."
Least of all you.
Soren winced as he finished speaking - oh what a fine topic to bring up, 'stop talking Soren old boy you're digging a deep hole.' He attempted to stand, but the exhaustion proved too much and his legs refused to support him. He collapsed back down onto the rain soaked grass in front of Brooke, inhaling sharply when he jarred his injured shoulder. He rolled onto his back, vision swimming and struggling to keep his breathing steady. Wilhelmina let out a soft cry, perching on Brooke's shoulder, eyes conveying her frantic worry.

Ignus kept having Brooke's Sharpedo and Baron dousing the flames. "Alright you two, keep it up. We're halfway done with dousing the flames." He then looked at Brooke chewing Soren out, Ignus standing there getting soaked. He then sighed and looked at Brooke's Gabite, who just watched the flames getting doused, Ignus returning to pointing out flames to Sharpedo and his Blastoise, Baron doing his best not to blow away the Rookery with his high-pressured water cannons.

He swept his great coat around her shoulders and Brooke shook her head vigorously "Oh no you don't." Just as quickly as the coat was place about her shoulders it was back on Soren, she pointed at him accusingly, "I'm fine. I can live with the rain, you however." She didn't figure she'd need to finish that sentence. When he began to stand, so did she, but when he fell Brooke let out a yelp. "Ignus! Leave them to it, I need your help!" She called over to him.
She spied his arm, gritting her teeth at that sign of pain; Brooke wasn't a fool. "You've hurt your arm as well?" She moaned in dismay, her hands moving to feel up his arm to try and find the problem, then resting on his shoulder, her face paling for a moment before she cleared her throat. "Brace yourself." She stated and whether he was ready or not, Brooke would clasp his arm tightly and quickly maneuver it back into the socket.
She stood up then, stroking Wilhelmia on her shoulder, "He'll be alright." She assured the Swellow, then looked to Ignus. "I need you to help me move him inside, then we need to at least call an ambulance, or take him to the hospital ourselves."

The task of breathing became significantly more difficult when Brooke started feeling up his arm. There was little he could do but lay there when she grasped his shoulder and snapped the bone back into its socket. There was a flash of blinding pain, a momentary cessation of breathing from the shock of it before he reflexively tried to wrench himself out of her grasp. She stood and moved back, trying to comfort Wilhelmina and call Ignus over for help. With the pain in his shoulder significantly lessened Soren managed to stagger onto his feet and stay upright this time. "I'm fine!" he snapped, rubbing at his shoulder to lessen the ache. Lightning flashed, illuminating his snarl in sharp relief before he relaxed slightly and turned away with a sigh.
"I'm fine," he repeated quietly, though his body was protesting quite loudly that he was anything but. "Don't worry yourself over me Professor, I'm hardly worth the effort...Ignus, thank you for your help - couldn't have done it without you old sport, you've my eternal gratitude."
Soren whistled sharply, though the action ended in a fit of coughing and Aerodactyl trundled over to his side. He leaned against the winged reptiles flank, breathing deeply and trying to stay upright. "Now then, I think the pokemon have it handled...let's get out of this rain. I must insist that the pair of you consider staying the night, it doesn't look like this storm is going to let up any time soon and I'll not have you travelling in this horrendous weather. Come along."
On Brooke's shoulder Wilhelmina chirped sadly and gently tugged on a lock of the Professor's hair as if to say 'Don't believe him, he's not alright' Even Aerodactyl looked uneasy, but he wasn't about to disobey his trainer and he kept firmly to Soren's side, keeping him steady as he knew his trainer wanted.

Ignus kept pointing out the flames to Baron and Brooke's Sharpedo to douse when he heard the Professor calling him over for help. As he walked over, he then saw Soren saying he was fine, which had Ignus raise an eyebrow at the Gym Leader. He could tell Soren's been through a lot, but getting a dislocated shoulder and going through a burning building filled with suffocating smoke? Ignus just looked at his Blastoise and Brooke's Sharpedo still dousing the flames, Brooke's Gabite pointing out the flames in his place, and he smiled knowing the Pokemon had the fire situation handled. He could also tell that, in due time, the rain would help douse the flames as well, though it could take a little while longer for them.
Ignus nodded. "You're welcome, Soren. And also...are you sure you're alright?" He walked over to Soren. "I can tell that your Pokemon are more worried about your condition than you're leading the Professor and I on to believe. We're going to have to get you to a hospital, at least. Going through that burning building isn't an easy task, I'll tell you that. Even if your arm is fine, it looks like you're just about ready to collapse again."
Ignus placed a hand on Soren's uninjured shoulder, his blue eyes soft. "Please Soren...take the Professor's advice...we have to call an ambulance..." He was content that all the Pokemon were safe and that they were doing their job, but what was important right now was Soren's condition, and Ignus knew that. He then turned to Brooke. "I guess I'll have to stay for the night..." He sighed and looked up at the sky, the rain matting his silver hair down, the fire-red lock of hair over his right eye looked like an extinguished flame, him completely soaked.

Needless to say Brooke was not impressed, "Soren, you aren't helping anyone here." She scowled, but she agreed, they ought to get out of the rain. "Gabite, keep Sharpedo and Blastoise safe whilst they finish up, come back inside once you're done." The little blue dragon nodded her head, she held the maturity of Charizard and the ferocity of Garchomp, Brooke was pleased with the match; Gabite was becoming a remarkable pokemon.
She wasn't pleased that she'd have to stay the night, but Soren was right; the roads would be too dangerous and Brooke's little Clio wouldn't handle so well; darn not having a car with better traction. Brooke was pleased when Ignus agreed with her, nodding her head in approval, "You see? I'd rather not risk your lungs to your spirit. I'm still calling an ambulance. We may not be able to get you there but they'll be able to get to us eventually." Brooke flipped open her phone, the signal was weak, but it was good enough. She'd call up for an ambulance whilst walking back to the mansion. Her tone was heated, she wasn't happy at all, if anything it seemed like she was just happy to talk to another medical professional to rant with.

Soren sighed heavily as they started back towards the manor - there really was no stopping that woman when she put her mind to something. Still using Aerodactyl for support he drew up alongside her. "If it would put you at ease then fine. I'll have rooms sorted for the two of you." he said wearily. At least he'd managed to convince them to stay the night - he knew damn well he would've been up pacing the room like a caged tiger worrying, particularly about Brooke - Ignus could handle himself he knew...so could Brooke by rights, but still that wasn't the point.
Once back inside the mansion Soren returned his pokemon and removed both his greatcoat and his underlying frock coat, leaving him in his linen shirt and waistcoat as he wearily collapsed back down into an armchair. He breathed deeply, coughing a few times before managing to relax. He wasn't sure if Brooke or Ignus had followed him, but he was to out of sorts to worry to much - as long as they were close by he was content. Slowly he started to drift off into a light doze, the fatigue and smoke inhalation finally getting the better of him.

Ignus nodded to Baron, who nodded back and kept dousing the flames with Brooke's Sharpedo's assistance and her Gabite handling it as well, pointing out the flames to the two Water-type Pokemon as Ignus walked back inside, shivering a little because of being soaked. "I'm definitely going to need to get my clothes dried..."
Ignus sighed and walked back into the room they were in earlier, not sitting down in the armchair, but instead walking over to the window and watches the flames get doused, his hair dripping water slightly as he looks out with his blue eyes, his hands behind his back. A thought then dawned on him. "Oh yeah. I need to trade back Brooke's Gabite and Sharpedo once they're done for Typhon and Marcus."

Soren stumbled inside and Brooke shook her head in dismay, once they were inside she'd call for Nathaniel; he deserved to know, besides questions would be made when the ambulance would eventually turn up. She found him, and explained the situation to him. More than anything, she wanted to make sure that Nathaniel keep Sarra in bed should she wake for any reason. Brooke didn't want the poor girl to be distressed again over the sight of her father, it wasn't fair.
After returning to the room, she saw Soren slipping into a doze, "No, no you don't!" She leaned over him and swiftly slapped him across the cheek, "You aren't allowed to sleep until help arrives." She told him firmly, then turned to Ignus with a heavy sigh. "Of course. We'll wait for them to come back inside, then we'll swap back."
Brooke promptly flopped down on a couch, her thumb and forefinger massaging the top of her knows, her eyes squeezed shut. "We need to keep Soren awake, Ignus, we can't risk him resting until the paramedics show." she explained to him.

((LOL Brooke XD))
Soren was just beginning to slip into a deeper slumber when a sharp stinging pain on the left side of his face had him lurching forward in his chair. He blinked confusedly and it took a few moments to realize that Brooke had actually slapped him. "Damnation woman you couldn't go about it in a gentler manner," he growled. "You do have a nasty habit for waking me up in the most unpleasant of ways."
Of course he was referring to the morning after the gala when she'd come barging into his chambers in a flurry of rage and red silk; very attractive - and completely terrifying. Certainly up there on the list of oddest wake up calls he'd received. The gym leader sank back in his chair, grumbling discontentedly for the next few moments until flashing lights outside the rain streaked window caught his attention. He gave Brooke a withering look and gestured towards the window. "It seems that your cavalry has arrived Professor."

Ignus nodded to Brooke. "Of course, Professor." He looked out the window one last time and noticed that the flames had finally been doused and that Baron was leading Brooke's Sharpedo and Gabite back inside. Once the Pokemon were inside, Ignus walked out into the lobby and patted Baron like he always did. "Good job, Baron." He then nodded to Brooke's Gabite and Sharpedo. "And a thank you to you two as well." After receiving their own welcomes for his gratitude, Ignus returned them all, and returned to the room where Brooke and Soren were, Ignus now making sure Soren was awake. After seeing the flashing lights however, Ignus looked out the window, seeing an ambulance pull up the driveway.
Breathing a sigh of relief, he then turned to Brooke and motioned to Soren. "Should I lead the paramedics inside, or should we carry Soren to them, Professor?" The whole ordeal he went through, of course, made him seem a tad tired and weary, having to stifle a yawn before he regained his composure.
