Brooke glowered at Soren, "It was effective, wasn't it?" She asked with a quirk of a brow. She saw the flashing blue lights pulling up outside, grateful that they didn't have the sirens on to wake up Sarra. Brooke looked at Ignus, "You never move the patient, Ignus. Ideally we should have stayed outside, but in this storm that's not exactly the best option we had. They come in here, they make the decision as to what's next."
Once Gabite and Sharpedo entered she handed Ignus back the pokeballs containing Typhon and Marcus. She'd then head for the door, "Don't take your eyes off him." She instructed Ignus as she left the room. After explaining the situation again to the paramedics, Brooke led them into the room where one would crouch down by Soren and explain to him what he was going to do. He pulled out the oxygen mask and pulled it over his face, "Just breathe normally Mr. Forberg."
Brooke looked to the other paramedic, "Will he need to go back with you? Or will be be alright to stay here?" She asked him, her arms folded over her chest. Brooke wasn't exactly pleased, she was all cheerful and happy when she had arrived! Now she was dealing with an ambulance team. Dammit Soren, you're too much trouble for Brooke.

Soren sank back in his chair, wilting slightly under the Professor's glare as the paramedics came into the parlour. One of them gave the gym leader a courteous nod in greeting which Soren returned. He'd met this man on several occasions - usually involving him being strapped to a gurney, but still, friends came about in the oddest of situations. "Hello Miles, how's the family?"
"Oh just splendid Mr. Forberg, Lily's due for twins in November."
"Wonderful," Soren smiled as the other paramedic pulled an oxygen mask over his face, carefully explaining the procedure and also effectively silencing any more of the gym leader's protests. After a few moments of inspection by both paramedics Miles turned back to Brooke and shook his head.
"He should be fine staying here, the smoke inhalation is mild, the oxygen is clearing that up right now, and you set his shoulder perfectly," the paramedic said. "No real reason for him to go to the hospital, just keep an eye on him for the night - he's a tough sort, he'll be fine."
After a few more checks and another dose of oxygen the paramedics gathered their gear and left, leaving the trio behind. Soren crossed one leg over the other and gave Brooke that 'I told you so' sort of look. "Now then, if you've no more objections Professor I can get about to showing the both of you your rooms."

Ignus nodded. "Alright then, Professor." He then handed over Gabite's and Sharpedo's pokeballs and was given back Typhon's and Marcus', Ignus a little relieved that there wasn't anything more serious as he watched the paramedics work on Soren, him tilting his head to the side as he never really paid much attention to medical procedures, though he really should. The only medical stuff he knows is first aid out in the wilderness, and that wasn't really much. But, he was an explorer after all.
Ignus kept watching as the paramedics left, then his attention turned back to Soren, who he noticed seemed fine and just needed rest. Ignus shrugged his shoulders and nodded. "Very well then, Soren."

Brooke thanked the paramedics as they left, she was relieved at the very least that Sarra wouldn't get a fright in the morning if she found out her father had been carted off to hospital again. "Fine," Brooke grumbled, "I assume you're going to put me in the same room I had to have before?" She quirked a brow, she was definitely not pleased when she had spent the night at the Forberg manor without even knowing until she woke up - and with a splitting headache of a hangover too. At least this time there was some form of consent, she's still rather risk her chances on the road home. Never the less, she was stuck now, she needed to make sure this old man was still breathing when she woke up.

"Very well," Soren said with a nod as he rose from his chair, significantly more steady then he had been before and beckoned the two of them to follow him. He lead them up the grand staircase to the east wing, pausing before one room to show Ignus his quarters. "Here Ignus these will be your quarters for the night."
The gym leader opened the door and revealed a finely furnished room, walls darkly paneled with mahogany and an elegant four poster bed. He left the explorer to it and went to show Brooke her chambers - and as she'd guessed he was leading her to the room she'd not so willingly stayed in before - partially out of spite and partially out of the fact that it was close to his own bedroom. He paused and opened the door for her revealing a finely furnished Victorian room much like Ignus' save the bed covers and canopy were a deep wine red. "Here," he said softly. He sighed heavily and faced her with an weary but apologetic expression. "I do apologize for my obstinate behavior. If you need anything...my door is unlocked - you know where my rooms are."
With that he turned sharply on his heel and left, retreating to his own quarters where he proceeded to shower to rid himself of the smoke and soot and then change into his nightwear. He laid down with a sigh and a half smothered cough, very aware of Brooke's presence just down the hall.

Ignus followed Soren up to his sleeping quarters and walked in, looking around and nodding to Brooke and Soren. "Well...good night to you two." He then waited until they left, and then closed the door and removed his dress shirt and vest, which were completely soaked and hung them over the chair nearby, then stifled a yawn and climb into the four-poster bed and fell asleep, glad that the whole incident that happened earlier that night was over and done. As he fell asleep, he listened to the pounding rain against the window as he slept.
