Zeke had spent the journey trying not to focus on thoughts of Arthur, Arthur leaving, Arthur turning his back on them- it was difficult. Of course it was difficult. This felt like a betrayal he just couldn't understand. Not when- not now, they'd all had someone taken, it couldn't be justified, his thoughts were turning into a jumble and that wasn't good. Coherency became somewhat of an afterthought. It was a bit like a washing machine took over his brain for a bit, threw out some words like "hello!" and "there are clothes in my mouth oh Lugia why get them out aaarjkghkj" and oh this wasn't like a washing machine at all, he should focus on the task at hand.
The tower loomed over them, a reminder of what they'd achieved and lost in the journey here. Zeke couldn't wait to see it in pieces, wanted to tear it apart brick by brick- not that it even looked like it was made of bricks, but it would crumble. Jason and Arthur stood at the top, and he couldn't help but notice how... uncomfortable, Arthur looked. The hesitation, the looks away, the, "please come back". It slipped out, but there it was, and all Zeke could hope for was that Arthur might just come down the tower and walk over as if nothing had happened. He hated Jason, hated everything he stood for, everything he was trying to destroy and trample on; there was no way he could be allowed to continue on this ridiculous rampage. If he had any proficiency whatsoever at combat he'd probably just try and tackle Jason and pummel him. There was too much talking.
The two dropped, and Zeke almost held his breath in anticipation. He wanted to win Esme back as soon as he could, but of course he couldn't take that away from Lorna. This one, this was her battle. Zeke quirked a slight smile and stepped back, watching as Arthur came closer. What could he say? "... I heard Blackbeard would set his hat alight to be particularly scary."

Jason nodded as Lorna stepped forward, accepting his challenge. Jason was a man of his word, he did not power up his snag machine when she released the powerful fire type pokemon instead taking a pokeball from his pouch and tossing it into the air. "Go, Tyranitar..." He said as the ball opened, the Rock type bursting out and towering over Jason, its jaw open to release a deep howl. Jason's pokemon were just like him, they loved the fight. This particular pokemon had even killed a few opponents instead of just fainting them, just because it could.
As Tyranitar howled a sandstorm whipped up around the two trainers and their pokemon, blocking them from sight from the rest of the group. Jason smirked to Lorna, the two Sudo Legendary pokemon standing strong between them. "Your move..." Jason called to her over the sound of the sandstorm.

Lorna cursed when Jason's Tyranitar whipped up a Sandstorm around them effectively cutting ehr off from any and all support from the others. Fine, if that's how he wanted to play. She took a deep breath and took up her customary battle stance. She had to think like the Champion she was now. Jason's pokemon looked unbelievably strong - if she wasn't careful Arcanine would be swift to fall and she highly doubted the large dinosaur like pokemon would show any mercy. This was a no bars battle - which was just fine by her.
"Extremespeed!" Lorna called. Arcanine let out another fierce booming bark before launching into a run, gradually gaining speed until he was barely visable. The large canine suddenly appeared behind Tyranitar, body glowing with a white aura as he prepared to slam into his opponent for a quick solid blow. Lorna watched with narrowed eyes and bated breath - she was going to have to use quick sniping tactics - the biologist wasn't stupid, she knew that Tyranitar's Attack was probably off the charts and a few solid blows would be the end of her Arcanine. "Come on , take him down old boy."

Jason cackled as the battle started, Lorna wasting no time to order her first attack. This was going to be fun, It had been ages since Jason had been in a proper battle. This battle was going to be gritty, no rules, no referee, a proper oldschool battle. Jason could hardly contain his excitement. "Take it..." Jason ordered watching as the fire type slammed into Tyranitar, both pokemon skidding forward from the momentum of the attack. Tyranitar was a rock type, so he could take a few hits here and there.
"Grab it and use Crunch." Jason called, Tyranitar taking a hold of Arcanine and grappling it to the floor, squeezing it tight before opening it large jaws, its teeth glowing black, and biting down hard into Arcanine's back.

Lorna let out a snarl worthy of her pokemon when Jason's Tyranitar bit down hard on the back of the large canine's neck, causing him to wince and yowl as he struggled to get free. Still the biologist didn't panic - Arcanine's canine physiology meant that the thick loose fur around his neck would help protect him from too much damage, it was aggravating the burly fire-type more than anything else at this point. She had to get them seperated somehow...ah of course. With Tyranitar holding Arcanine so close the big canine's face was practically right up against rock-type's underbelly. She'd blast them apart!
"Arcanine use Fire Blast!" she barked. She knew the move wouldn't do a great amount of damage - Tyranitar was a rock-type after all, but it was one of Arcanine's strongest attacks and the sheer force of the massive fire attack would be enought to get them apart at least.
Flames gathered in Arcanine's mouth before expanding outwards in five distinct streams with explosive force. As she'd hoped the force of the attack wrenched Arcanine free from Tyranitar's jaws and sent him sliding back to the other side of the battle field. Arcanine shook himself vigerously and snarled, ears flat against his skull and teeth bared aggressively. Lorna grimaced - this was going to be a messy fight right to the bitter end.

Tyranitar almost lost balance as the force of the Fire Blast pushed him back across the field, dust kicking up from its feet as the skid across the ground, trying to stay upright. Not to be out done by Arcanine's snarl, Tyranitar let out another disgruntled roar, its muscular tail slam viciously against the ground.
Jason wanted Lorna to remember this battle, he wanted not only to faint Arcanine, but cripple it, just so she would know not to fuck with him again. He grinned viciously, his eyes locking onto hers. Arcanine had made some distance between them, perfect...
"Tyranitar, use Hyper Beam." He ordered, his grin growing as a huge ball of energy form in Tyranitar's jaw before being released, the thick beam of raw power hurtling towards Arcanine.
OOC: Sorry I know im taking a while to reply, i got a lot of work on at the moment and just leaves me too knackered to do much.

((S'okay, Jason send me a PM would you? I'm not sure what the outcome of this battle is supposed to be XD ))
Lorna gritted her teeth and had to mimic her pokemon's move, leaping sideways to avoid being obliterated by Tyranitar's massive Hyper Beam. Spitting and swearing she got to her feet, brushing soot and scorched grass from her jacket as she frantically tried to spot Arcanine to see if he had managed to dodge the fearsome attack.
He hadn't - not completely anyway.
The proud canine was still standing, but it was obvious the left side of his body had been struck, he was holding up his front leg on that side in an awkward manner and his left eye - well it looked like it was gone completely, a gash running over his face from brow to jawline. Lorna's hands curled into fists, nails biting so deeply into her palms that they were soon slick with blood. Her eyes burned with unshed tears and she let out an almighty shriek of rage and anguish. Arcanine whined when he heard it and swiftly limped towards his trainer, nuzzling her grime stained face with his own. She looked up at the big canine with watery eyes and reached for her pokeball to withdraw him but he let out a warning bark and knocked the orb out of her hand with a bat of his paw before trotting back to the middle of the field to stare down Tyranitar. He even placed his wounded paw back on the ground as if to assure her he was all right, the Arcanine equivelent of saying 'It's just a flesh wound.'
Clearly her friend didn't want to give up - and if he didn't then niether did she. There was too much riding on this. Jason could cause untold damage with her Dragonite, not to mentioned all the other pokemon he'd stolen. Time to kick things up a notch and use advantage of that recharge time.
"Arcanine use Dig!" she barked. The canine nodded and soon disappeared underground, but she wasn't planning on keeping him there long - she'd wager an acorn to an oak tree that Tyranitar knew how to use Earthquake and that would spell disaster if it caught Arcanine underground. She was going to borrow a strategy from her old friend. "Now come up and use Return!"
The large, fiery canine burst free from the ground directly behind Tyranitar in a shower of rubble, his body gealming with a bright white aura. The aura pushed out from Arcanine and slammed into Tyranitar who was far to close to dodge thanks to Arcanine's Dig. It was really the only move they had besides Extremespeed - Arcanine's fire power would do little against Tyranitar, but that being said Return was a powerful move in it's own right because Lorna's pokemon loved her unconditionally and it showed in the raw power of Arcanine's attack. The singed canine wisely sprang back after launching his attack, carefully watching Tyranitar with his one good eye.

Jason cackled as Lorna picked herself up from the ground, observing the damage the Hyperbeam had done to Arcanine. That should leave a sizeable scar, how delightful. He watched as the two approached each other, the scene making him feel physically sick. Oh well, the more time they spent caring for each other the more time Tyranitar had to recharge.
Jason watched as the fire pokemon attacked again, nothing he could do but wait. He gritted his teeth as Tyranitar turned just before the Return struck, the powerful attack slicing through its soft underbelly. Blood dripped from its stomach as it bent over in pain, clutching its wound.
"Get up..." Jason growled to his pokemon, watching as it struggled upright. "Dont be weak..." He continued pointed to the fire pokemon, his eyes burning with hatred and aggression. "Use Hyperbeam and this time do not miss..."
Tyranitar let out a roar of pain and power as it let out another blast of energy, the attack obviously less powerful then last time.

Lorn bit her lip - she didn't mean to cause so much damage to the other pokemon, it wasn't Tyranitar's fault that his master was cruel and heartless, but it was obvious that Arcanine was angry and wasn't holding back, nor could they afford to. The biologist was glad she'd elected to go first. She didn't doubt the abilities of the other trainers around her, but this Tyranitar was a beast and it was out for blood - at the very least she could take out that threat and make things a bit easier for the others. She cursed when the dinosaur like pokemon launched another Hyper Beam, less powerful than before but certainly still dangerous. "Use Dig to dodge it!"
Arcanine barked and started clawing at the soil again, he'd almost made it underground when the Hyper Beam struck his hindquarters and sent him tumbling along the ground. He growled and stood, trying to shake it off but his flanks were quivering, sporting numerous cuts from scraping along the ground. Fast, they needed to act fast.
"Extremespeed, just keep hitting him! No mercy!" she barked. Arcanine snarled and became an orange blur, almost disappearing from sight as he streaked across the field towards Tyranitar, only pausing long enough to lash out at his bellowing opponent, not even bothering to see if the attack hit before taking off again and repeating the manouver, running, going in close for an attempted strike then running off again. Lorna bit her lip and watched her companion closely. He couldn't keep this tactic up for long not with all the damage caused by those Hyper Beams.

Jason swore as the Extremespeeds started to hit, battering Tyranitar from all angles. Jason gritted his teeth sensing the battle drawing to a close, watching as attack after attack slammed into his pokemon.
"Use Earthquake!" He shouted, hoping to get an attack in but it was no use, Tyranitar had no time to attack before another Extremespeed crashed into it. Tyranitar turned to look at its master, its face full of disappointment and pain before a final Extremespeed crashed into the open wound on its stomach, bring the dinosaur down onto its knees.
"Get the fuck up..." Jason snarled, eyes locking onto his pokemons. "You are stronger than this so get the fuck up..."
For a moment the rock type struggled to stand before its legs gave way and it crashed down into the dirt, the sandstorm dispersing to reveal the scene to the others, both pokemon and both trainers covered in dirt and battle wounds.
Jason took a pokeball out of his pouch and retreated his pokemon then took another from his belt and threw it up into the air releasing Dragonite. "Very well... you have won your pokemon back." He growled before turning to the others.
"Who is next?..."

"Arcanine stop!" Lorna barked when Tyranitar finally collapsed onto the ground despite his trainers bellows to rise. The canine snarled and gave the dinosaur-like pokemon a final swipe before limping back over to Lorna. She wrapped her arms around the pokemon's neck, giving him a tight hug as the sandstorm around them finally subsided revealing the scene to the others. "You're amazing," she said as she withdrew him, scrubbing at her eyes to remove the tears and sand.
The biologist waited tensely as Jason withdrew his fainted pokemon and plucked another pokeball from his belt, releasing Dragonite albeit grudgingly. The dragon looked around confused for a moment before flying over to Lorna who was quick to grab him in a tight hug. "Glad to have you back old boy." she said, sniffing to hold back the tears . Dragonite let out a soft cooing growl and gently brushed away her tears with his claw. Lorna chuckled and not wanting to take any chances quickly withdrew Dragonite back into his pokeball.
She staggered back towards the group and as soon as she got back to them sat down hard upon the ground, her legs refusing to support her weight. Never, never had she been so scared in a battle, not during any Gym battle, not even her Elite Four match. Those were battles of pride and honour - this was just cruel blood sport and she thought she was going to lose not one but two of her best friends. She took a deep breath and composed herself. She had to be ready to help her friends - she'd managed to take out what she hoped was one of Jason's strongest pokemon, but really there was no way of knowing what the poacher had up his sleeve.

Evie was frozen during the entire battle, her hands clenched in fists so tightly that the blood flow seemed to feel as if it had stopped. Her eyes were as wide as saucers and watery, but no tears fell at the brutality of the battle between Tyranitar and Arcanine. Evie had never truly been frightened before, but she was utterly terrified now and that was no understatement. She grieved over the fact that both Pokemon had been horrifically injured during the fight, but grieved more so over how her Pokemon would probably suffer the same. But she knew, she knew that her darling little.. or not so little anymore, Aphrodite would understand that she'd have to do this; the rest of her team would understand too.
She gulped and stepped forward, a Pokeball in her hand, "I'm next."
It was fairly known that Evie was no battler, she was a coordinator through and through. She was scared to death as to what would happen, but dammit she would have to try. After seeing how badly Tyranitar was treated by such an evil trainer, Evie would not allow that same treatment to befall Aphrodite. She would have to rely on her toughest, strongest Pokemon for this fight and she hoped he would do her proud. Evie took her place where the battle would unfold, trying not to look Lorna in the eye as she tossed out her chosen champion for this fight.
"Ares! Please help me!" She cried, in a blur of red the large snake Pokemon Seviper emerged and coiled up, rearing its head and baring its fangs; dripping in venom, at Jason. It's tail scraped along the battle bitten ground, sharpening its edge on any hard stones it could find. It hissed violently, Evie waited.

The battle with Lorna had been intense, but it gave Seth a sense of relief to see she had been victorious and that Jason had followed through. "You did good Lorna," he whispered as she passed by.
Seth had to think hard, but just as he was beginning to choose which Pokemon he'd use, Evie stepped forward. He grew nervous for her, knowing she was more of a coordinator than a battler.
"You've got this Evie!" he yelled out, keeping his place in the group but trying to show his support.

Jason laughed as Evie stepped up to the mark, he admired her bravery but did not condone her stupidity. He watched as she moved to the battle area then released a pokemon, Jason had to fight hard not to laugh. He knew exactly which pokemon he was going to use.
"Metagross, finish this quickly..." He uttered as he threw a pokeball into the air, the giant steel type letting out a mechanical like growl as it emerged into the battle field. "Im feeling generous Evie, make the first move." He taunted, knowing there was no way she could win this battle.

Metagross. Dammit. Evie hissed under her breath, clenching her teeth. Poison versus Steel? Seviper didn’t seem phased, but Evie knew what it meant. Poison doesn’t affect it. Jason let her have the first move, she was grateful for it. “Ares, use Haze!” It was the best she could do, hide under the cover of darkness to strike at her foe. It was a tactic she used on the battle field during contests, but contest battles were nothing like this. Evie bit her lip, Seviper drew in a large breath and exhaled black smoke that covered the battle field. Evie fished into her pocket and drew out a handkerchief and pressed it over her mouth and nose, so not to inhale the smoke.
She might as well make the most of the cover before Metagross could do anything else, “Night Slash Ares! Quick!” In the haze, Seviper slithered forward at breathtaking speed, his blade like tail glowed a vivid red – possibly giving him away in the smoke. The snake lurched forward, swinging himself up and hurling himself down – blade first – in hope of hitting Metagross square on the head.
